have been the last few weeks. we're also, you know, so that's that's what we have to continue to work on to improve these last few weeks. there's changes. runners are different. the linemen are different. there's excuses. they're just excuses. it's not productive enough and we have to be better at it. >> all right sunday's game is in miami and kickoff is 125. >> okay. interesting day out there today. a lot of fog again this morning, especially in the inland bay valleys that kept temperatures in places like fairfield, vacaville and antioch cooler than you might expect. and as a matter of fact, fairfield comes in at what looks like an overnight low of 49 degrees. vallejo 47. how does that's how it goes again tonight. again, that fog living in the central valley and then it spills out at night. it's warmer at the coast. it's cooler inland now. right. so the water, because the water is warm. so that warmer air creates sort of a little vacuum and the cold air sucks out to it. so the wind direction is the opposite of what you get in the summer months. an onshore wind. it's actually at the surface, an offshore wind which blows that fog into the carquinez strait. this is san francisco bay area

right now. and then this is the long range model. i'm not going to try to time anything out. just suffice to say saturday the door gets kicked open and you see this little parade of storms right through next week. so it'll be wet next week for sure. how wet that still remains to be seen. it is. it does have atmospheric river. some earmarks, some of these certainly. there's a couple of them, one small one, one a little bigger. and that will create a higher snow level as you would you would imagine, and higher moisture plume. and also, you know, forecasting these is tough because i think i mentioned earlier the zonal flow, but also wherever that atmospheric river points to remember that a couple of weeks ago, a few more a few weeks ago, we had that significant rain in marin, like 14in, and san jose had like a 10th of an inch, maybe not quite that drastic, but again, huge disparity in just 40 or 50 miles. so that's where these things point. as you know, you know this where they point where they end up is who gets the rain. and if you're just a little if you're five miles south of that rain point,
6:51 pm
you may get nothing or very little. so here's the suggestion setup. right now it's moving to the north because the ridge of high pressure is still here. what's going to happen here after saturday? the ridge of high pressure goes away. and the kind of flat lines, the jet stream just runs straight out across the pacific. it's called a zonal flow or meridional flow. and it basically is what tells you you're going to get a bunch of rain because it's just pushing moisture in off the pacific. are or not, it's just unsettled pattern. so as we go into friday morning, this is it. the fog in the valley friday afternoon. fog tries to clear out, but there's still a lot of fog. it's kind of a cloudy day tomorrow. and then this is saturday morning. this is that deal that gets rid of the fog but kicks the storm door open. not a big event at all. and then monday events, not a big event at all either. but after that it's just one after the other. and they could all be small events. we'll see how that goes. but in the meantime, just be prepared for wet weather travel next week for the holidays. here

is the forecast highs for tomorrow. and here is the five day forecast right through the holiday week. hope you've got good plans and just be safe. driving around the fog is going to be kind of sketchy tonight and tomorrow. >> so it's a piece of history that we're looking at here right now. >> it's a masterpiece, a masterpiece in the south bay, making things merrier for the holidays. up next, we take you on oard this [ding] [upbeat music] ♪ yeah, baby, i like it like that ♪ ♪ i like it like that, i like it like that ♪ ♪ si a ti te quiero mi amor, i like it like that ♪ ♪ eeeeeh, baby, i said i like it like that ♪ ♪ stomp your feet if you think i'm neat ♪ ♪ clap your hands if you want some more ♪ ♪ i said i like it like that ♪
