investigation is just getting started. the agency says shamsuddin jabar traveled to egypt and canada in 2023. and they're looking into how that may or may not have tied into the attack. but both state and federal authorities reiterate that there are no other suspects. >> all investigative details and evidence that we have now still support that jabar acted alone here in new orleans. we have not seen any indications of an accomplice in the united states, but we are still looking into potential associates in the u.s. and outside of our borders. >> authorities say jabar made at least two trips to new orleans in the months leading up to the attack. the fbi says by using advanced meta glasses, jabar recorded himself biking through the french quarter. on one of those trips, the fbi says he had these video recording glasses on during wednesday's attack, but the glasses were not activated. here he is with those meta glasses during that nola trip.

the fbi also shared videos of jabar placing ieds around bourbon street. investigators also found a transmitter intended to trigger the two bombs. the new orleans mayor says the mission now is increased security, especially leading up to big events like the super bowl and mardi gras. the governor is officially declaring days of mourning for each of the 14 victims starting on monday in new orleans. madison, scarpino fox news. >> a man with his newborn baby in his car was arrested after a road rage incident in santa rosa. police say witnesses reported seeing a man in a silver bmw pointing a gun at another driver near west third street and amador drive. police pulled over 23 year old calvin crump yesterday just before 5 p.m, near stony point and guerneville roads. officers say they found a backpack with a loaded handgun, ammunition, a holster and an extra magazine in the car. they say his one month

crash. the san joaquin county sheriff's office says deputies were trying to pull over a stolen vehicle just before 2:00 this morning, when the driver refused to stop and then sped away. the sheriff's office says as deputies pursued the vehicle, it crashed into another vehicle. the suspect and the two people in that other car were killed. multiple agencies are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. >> a warning from the chp regarding a new scam. authorities say if you get a call from a so-called amber alert representative, hang up. chp says scammers are calling people offering to register their children to the amber alert list. they asked for confidential information and to meet at your home. this is not how the amber alert system works. chp says it's the only agency authorized to activate amber alerts, and registrations are not required. if you have fallen victim to the scam, you're asked to call your local law enforcement office. new at ten the santa clara sheriff's office crediting one of their own with a job well done after a

holiday travel period. millions across the country are now heading back home at the same time. a winter storm affecting multiple states in the midwest and on the east coast is causing hundreds of delays and some cancellations at san francisco international airport. ktvu reporter lamonica peters is live at sfo with what's happening there right now. lamonica. >> betty, things are calm here at sfo despite those delays. and people i spoke to did tell me

that they experienced some holdups, but they were still able to get ahead of that storm. >> there's a predicted to have like eight plus inches of snow. and so i actually had to change my travel plans. i was supposed to leave tomorrow at 1030 eastern time, but i moved it to today because i wanted to beat out the winter storm. >> several states in the midwest and on the east coast are being affected by the first major snowstorm of the year. by sunday evening at san francisco international airport, 171 flights had been delayed and 22 flights were canceled. this passenger says he flew in from chicago. >> it was cold in chicago, but overall everything was pretty smooth. really no complaints. it was only here when we got to sfo, where there was a lot of delays with the carry ons, excuse me with the baggage claim. and we've been here about 40 minutes to an hour. >> sunday also marks the last day of holiday travel, when millions of people will be

we are getting new numbers from the chp on its maximum enforcement period over the holidays. the chp golden gate division says over christmas it made 67 arrests. 55 were for dui. more than 800 citations were issued during the new year's enforcement period. 109 people were arrested, 84 of those were for dui, and more than 2400 citations were issued. the chp reports no deadly crashes in their jurisdiction during these two enforcement periods. >> well, the powerful winter storm pummeling the midwest is bringing snow and ice, leaving roadways, a dangerous mess all across parts of kansas, missouri, illinois, indiana, and several other states. as fox cb cotton reports tonight. millions of people are currently under storm warnings as that system starts to roar east. >> ice and snow blanketing roadways in the midwest on sunday. as the first major winter storm of 2025 ramps up in the central u.s, blizzard conditions reported across much of kansas and northwestern

balmy conditions right now, 40s and 50s across the board. it's 48 degrees in hayward backing through castro valley. it is now 47 degrees in concord and 40s across the north bay. i wanted to share with you how light the winds are at this hour, because they will remain under ten miles per hour all night long in the overnight hours. but as we forge ahead to this time tomorrow night, notice the north bay. the winds begin to increase up to 33mph, and throughout the calistoga area. and then by tuesday into tuesday night and wednesday, we are on the cutting edge of wind criteria. as far as advisories, watches or warnings are concerned. and that's because we have an offshore push and this weather pattern is actually churning up the ocean waters as well. we do have a beach hazard statement in effect tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. by the time you wake up all the way to tuesday night, we have waves up to 20ft that will be lapping on shore. so please be mindful

scrapping winter festivities this year, the l.a. times is reporting in an email sent to some seasonal pass holders. the theme park in santa clara said the park's upcoming season would run from april 5th through october, and that seasonal events will not be part of this calendar year, potentially meaning an end to winterfest and

its annual snoopy ice show. we've reached out to the theme park officials for comment and have not yet heard back. a napa restaurant recently fined over child labor violations has closed its doors. the u.s. department of labor says the si casa restaurant and bar at the oxbow market hired children as young as 14 years old. it was fined more than $45,000 last month. the federal agency says the teenagers often worked outside of permitted employment hours during school days, and sometimes operated hazardous equipment. the restaurant confirmed e closure on its website. it is unclear at this point if the other si casa locations will remain open. >> three oakland fire stations will be unoccupied, browned out and not answering calls for help for six months starting tomorrow. station 25, in the hills above joaquin miller road. station 28, in chabot park and engine ten station serving grand lake and piedmont are closing tomorrow in order to help bridge the city of oakland's multi-million dollar deficit. a

critical vote that would bring much needed cash to oakland comes on tuesday. that's when the alameda board of supervisors vote on completing the sale of the oakland coliseum complex. the city of berkeley is trying to make it easier for thousands of homeowners to get permits for their unpermitted accessory dwelling units. these units, also known as adus, provide adequate housing for more affordable prices. through a new pilot program, berkeley homeowners can now get permits for their adus through two options a certificate of occupancy or a housing certificate of compliance. both options require and require an inspection, but the process is confidential and won't produce any penalties for homes that aren't up to code. this pilot program is set to end in 2028. >> san francisco's glide paid tribute to outgoing mayor london breed. glide hosted a special celebration at the church on ellis street ahead of breed's final days here in office. breed lost her bid for reelection to

only intensified when his fiance, finance minister, left back in december. trudeau has been canada's prime minister since 2015. >> in seoul, south korea, angry protesters broke through barricades today, gaining access to a road leading to the home of impeached president yoon suk yeol. the protesters are demanding his arrest. yoon was impeached by south korea's parliament and is suspended from his official duties after enacting a failed court martial law on december 3rd. yoon's presidential security service and military officers blocked criminal investigators from arresting him friday during a six hour standoff. an arrest warrant for insurrection against yoon expires tomorrow. there's a new development in the battle over tiktok. the justice department friday asked the supreme court to stop a bid by president elect donald trump to delay the pending tiktok ban. a lower u.s. appeals court upheld the ban in early december,

before the case was advanced to the supreme court. attorneys for trump filed a friend of the court brief asking the supreme court to block the ban. attorney general merrick garland maintains that the platform is a threat to national security because of potential chinese government access to u.s. consumer data, and says tiktok is subject to espionage and use as a weapon for covert influence operations. the supreme court will hear oral arguments on the matter on january 10th. a cartoonist has quit her job at the washington post over allegations that an editor rejected one of her sketches that made fun of the newspaper. and president elect donald trump. cartoonist ann telnaes posted the cartoon on the platform's substack following her resignation. she says the cartoon depicts a group of media executives bowing before trump while offering him bags of money. post owner jeff bezos is one of the executives depicted. she says the cartoon was intended to criticize

commercial dungeness crab season. ktvu is amanda quintana takes us to fisherman's wharf, where customers can purchase the fresh crab directly from the fisherman this morning. >> ready for that hot water? >> this couple from napa. some of the first in line to buy whole uncooked crabs as fresh as you can get them right off matt juan's boat. they left at eight last night and were back here by nine this morning with four full containers of crab. >> glad they came out and supported us. it's been waiting a long time. so yeah, credit card bills are racking up selling them for $10 a pound and a free one if you buy ten. >> juan says he's been waiting for this day when he could finally make some money. >> i'm happy just to work right now as salmon season is closed. most fishermen are salmon and crab. salmon seasons have been closed for the last two years, and crowds have been shortening down to smaller and smaller crab season used to run from about november to june, allowing families to have crab for thanksgiving. >> but now it's been pushed back

cutoff line was right around san luis obispo, arroyo grande, that particular area. and then we went bone dry for southern california. so we have the santa ana winds kicking up there. we call them diablo winds here. but the bottom line is up to 80 mile per hour winds will definitely cause some windy conditions. and throughout the cajon pass, when you're leading into the san bernardino area out of the mojave desert. malibu a key area we'll keep an eye on as the relative humidity drops into the teens. this particular bird's eye view from sutro tower looking out towards san francisco. you can't see the fog there, but we do have visibility down to a half a mile now in santa rosa and also socked in around the bay bridge leading out of the golden gate bridge in the city of san francisco into the oakland area. so we'll wake up with areas of patchy fog tomorrow morning, then turning partly sunny and it's going to be windy. the winds do not rotate around to that offshore push until tuesday, and the

winds are really going to flare up at that particular time. so here's the deal. we have this area of low pressure. we refer to it as an inside slider. once it settles in over the colorado rockies. and then we have the high pressure contributing to the warmer conditions between the two, a pressure gradient, and also that offshore component, as the winds are in a counterclockwise fashion, rotating around that area of low pressure, and also because of the area of low pressure that has now traversed over the pacific northwest. it's churned up our seas again. so we do have a beach hazard statement in effect. by the time you wake up tomorrow morning through tuesday night and we're talking waves again, up to 20ft lapping on shore. so be careful if you're heading out to the beaches and do not turn your back on that angry ocean temperatures tonight. overnight, pretty much settling into the 40s, except for fairfield at 37 degrees. otherwise, tomorrow just a tad warmer than what we experienced today. and typically this time
