penalty and transfer his assets to his mother, kohlhepp cops to the 2003 massacre of the four employees at the superbike dealership. >> it totally caught me off guard. i never in my wildest dreams he was not somebody who was on my radar screen. >> i really felt like i didn't have much hope that this case would ever be solved. >> kohlhepp stumbled upon the superbike dealership less than two years after returning to spartanburg following a 14 year juvenile prison sentence for kidnaping and raping his neighbor when he was 15. he thought a motorcycle would be a fresh start to a new life. >> he had bought a bike. about a year ago, someone had stolen it, and then they come back in and they were pranksters. scott and brian was. and they asked the man, you're going to buy another bike so it can get stolen, too.
