along i-70 georgetown. we have so much traffic yesterday. people heading back down the mountain, which means traffic -- we'll have a full traffic break down. police are not releasing the name of the businesses hit. we'll try to learn more through the morning. new this morning, we're waiting for an update involving a scary injury following a nugget's player. there was a brace to stabilize him after a neck injury. he took an elbow to the neck. he immediately reached to rub the back of his neck and our partners at usa today says that faried was transported to a hospital. on his way out of the game, he gave a thumb's up and officials said he had feeling in his hand and neat. no word on a time table

the sid dell mall. the man and woman shot are expected to survive. another victim was grazed and didn't need medical attention. the vehicle is described as a white four-door sedan. if you know anything about this, call police. denver police have been busy overnight investigating an armed robbery in the 1100 block of south colorado boulevard near mississippi avenue. police did not say where those robberies -- where that robbery occurred or if anyone was hurt. we're told the suspect wearing all black ran away. a standoff is over in denver. police responded to a home invasion on north crystal street. police are investigating an armed robbery in denver. it happened near west 5th avenue and bryant street yesterday. officers say a criminal took a

the suspect is wearing a red hoodie and jeans. police know the identify of the man found dead near the denver art museum. his body was found friday near 10th avenue. police have not said how he died, but they have ruled his death a homicide. call crime stoppers if you can help with the investigation. a group of that -- there were protesting branchers right before taking the empty building over saturday night. among the crowd, the son of clyde bundy -- in 2014, non supporters showed up to their ranch to prevent them -- calling on that bigs members to support two ranchers convicted of arson. hammond and

we're starting off the day. the temperatures in the teens in northern colorado and we're around 4:00. we're going to continue with that trend of range. some high clouds could drift over every once in a while, but we're not expecting snow for the next 24 hours across the state. temperatures in the single digits in sterling. 22 in denver. teens out east in high country, 20 below in gunnison. we're going to see progress in our mountain valleys. the temperatures are going to be warmer. gunnison woke up to temperatures below -- other temperatures in the high country in the teens. 30s and 40s is a possibility in the high country and some in the mountain valleys.

i think it's important that as a department, we're as transparent on a day to day possible and that includes folks who may be critical of our actions at times. >> an aurora police officer was justified when he shot and killed an unarmed man says a grand jury. the report says the man made a jerky movement as if he was armed with a weapon. here's an idea, don't be a criminal. don't have police contact. no contact, no possibility of being shot in a confrontation with police. quit making it okay to be a criminal and bad to be an officer. criminals know the risks. others questioned the grand jury system. i think that police are sometimes in an impossible situation, but i do think our grand jury system contains a conflict of interest. when the accused is a member of law enforcement personnel. >> it's excitement. that's not really the wrong word. we feel

to be the temperatures, a little valleys. keep in mind, it's going to be a cold day, but improvement upon what we have our highs for today are going to be in the mid-40s. here's what we have right now. 20s and teens. teens in greeley and in the high country. 20 below. folks are waking up in gunnison, you're at 20 below right now, but 33 below. so, this warm up is relative of course, it's still going to be a cold day where you live, but not as cold as it has been. on the front range, temperatures in the 40s under mainly sunny skies. check out mid-day. they're going to be in the upper 30s, low 40s and clear skies will take us into this evening. what's in store for the start of the workweek. i have that forecast coming up and we look at the high country traffic and tracy anthony has that.

volumes of traffic this morning. we may see a little as the sunrises. as we look at georgetown westbound, a few people on the roadways, but nothing causing any major issues. but later on today, if you head back into denver eastbound, we could see that traffic starting to pick up late morning, but really this afternoon into the evening hours. you have to add one two to hours to that drive time. the last three or four days, we have people spending the holidays up in the mountains and everyone has to come home today. between veil and denver, we'll have those slowdowns. as of now, drive times 40, 45 minutes. we haven't had slowdowns. so you're not battling those road elements, but you'll have to -- jessica and ryan. >> tracy, thank you. you can listen for traffic conditions on i-70 between denver and veil. you can stream

cdot expects that traffic to be bad heading back, which means drivers who use that new toll lane may be in for higher rates. like tracy said, we saw people heading to the high country. summit county says they've -- loveland saw its busiest days and toll lane fees has hovered $5. they could jump up to $30 depending on the traffic. flooding is easing up. there's -- from illinois to alabama, the death toll is up 24 with 4 people missing. we have more on the damage. >>reporter: it's revealing new damage. its believed 150 properties in the suburb of arnold has been swapped.

relieved she has been found. caroline was strapped into a car stolen. police found that car, but the little girl was gone. carolyn was found in a parking lot, scared, but she's okay. a man critically hurt after he fell 20 feet in tennessee. this man fell while exploring caves in knoxville. he slipped on rock and stumbled and fell into his pit. the atlanta man was seriously injured. unusual video of a water main break-in downtown cleveland. you can see the water shooting up passed the water. it flooded streets in a 25-block area. a 48 inch pipe broke underground. the gushing water has caused the streets to buckle and officials had to close roads which causes traffic problems. crews are unsure what caused that break.

buffalo new york just after the bills asked their fans for help to shovel snow at the stadium. they asked fans to bring shovels to clear the snow against the game with the jets. they received $10 an hour and got to help the team. snow dumped a foot of snow at the stadium. former us senator and governor dale has died. bumpers died under hospice case with a battle of alzheimer's disease. 80s. he's survived by his wife and three children. this morning, blue bell ice cream is under a criminal investigation after a listeria break out led to three deaths. new reports says the justice department will investigate what the makers of blue bell knew and when.

massive fire at an office building in arvada. the fire started at a rehab facility located in that center. and the owner said she's worried about an employee who has not been accounted for. flames consumed that building on 64th and wadsworth yesterday morning and firefighters from multiple agencies fought this one for hours. it was one of the biggest fires in arvada's recent history. the owner of creative options said an employee was in the building and never came out before the spire started. firefighters were not able to look immediately because if fire was too sense for -- the fire was too intense for crews to go in. >> it was still obviously right away -- obvious right away that somebody was still in there. nobody could get ahold of them. >> one other person who was in the building along with a firefighter were both taken to that fire. a group of men occupy the federal building at on oregon and they're still there. they broke in and haven't late.

take care of business against rod, we've seen the broncos lose this type of game before. in '08 they lost to the buffalo bills the lowly bills. or they would have won the afc west. and then in '06, it was against the san francisco 49ers. so -- those other teams, even though they seemed to have nothing to play for, generally speaking they show up. >> one thing this team has that the '06 and '08 team didn't have is an absolute juggernaut defense, perhaps the best that they've ever had and they can really cement that with a good performance like they did last time. san diego last time they only allowed a field goal. >> it's the best in the national football league. and i guess for the broncos, it would be fitting if they do put their stamp on it today. you're right. only three points against san diego the last time. no points in the second half. and that game was there for get anything going. >> and the denver d. scored a touchdown in that one. which -- you know today kind of won it all by themselves.

de leon in the weather center. belen temperatures much better today than the last game. >> let's get to the game day forecast because on monday when the broncos took on the bengals the temperatures were in the teens at kickoff. this time around i'm going to help you guys out and temperatures in the mid 40s and comfortable for the players and also the fans. under mostly sunny skies and towards the end of the game temperatures around 37 degrees, take the sweaters with you. you're going to need them headed home. throughout the day enjoy that sunshine. temperatures will be their warmest around 2:30 and as we head into this evening, those clouds are going to increase. not a cloud in the sky right now as we look over the city. but it is chilly. temperatures at 20 degrees in the mile-high city. we are in the single digits up towards greeley and sterling 12. in the high country, a few spots still have those subzero temperatures. now the good news for some of our mountain valleys is that the temperatures are not going to be as cold as what they have been in previous mornings. i mean, gunnison, you're at 18 below. yep that's cold. but yesterday morning, you were

so we are improving some but it's still going to be a cold day. that's where we're at right now. let's fast forward to this afternoon. temperatures in northern colorado in the 40s. 30s up towards greeley and sterling. out towards the eastern plains in the 40s. southern wyoming i'm not forgetting about you. 32 degrees the panhandle of nebraska also in the 30s. high country temperatures in the 30s and 40s but just a beautiful day if you are going to take some turns in some of the ski resorts or do some know mobiling -- snowmobiling. the travel across the state should be just fine. we'll have more clouds in the high country through the afternoon and then the clouds increase in the city overnight. that's going to take us through tomorrow morning as you're starting off your workweek. partly cloudy skies. it is an excellent night after the broncos' game is done, turn off the tv. grab the kiddos and head on over to the denver zoo. the zoo lights will be happening for the last night tonight starts at 5:30 and ends at 9:00 p.m. that's just perfect weather for hot cocoa and making henrys. 37 degrees -- memories, 37

recapping the top stories for you this morning. and ohmablewood police say -- englewood police say six businesses were burglarized. they occurred along south broadway and stores like star bucks and the copper pot restaurant were hit. they are not releasing suspect information right now. also this morning, we are waiting for an update on the scary injury last night involving nuggettings' player -- nuggets' player kenneth fareed. after pan apparent neck injury. he took an elbow to the back of the neck while jostling for a rebound late in the game against the golden state warriors and immediately reached to kind of rub the back of his neck and then he was

while medics helped him out. our partners at "usa today" sports report that fareed was taken to the hospital for precautionary x-rays, he gay a thumbs up and officials say he did have feeling in his hands and feet. so that's a really good sign. no word on a timetable for a return. i was going to say when you saw that picture of him being carried away on a stretcher but so encouraging. >> great sign, no timetable for when he's coming back but he's at least having feeling in his hands and feet. huge great sign when you have a neck injury like that no doubt. all right, as far as the weather story goes, our weather is just really quiet for the next several days. and we're hope -- we're grateful for that aren't we? as people are headed back to work this week. it will be on thursday and friday when we see that chance for colder temperatures and also snow return back in the forecast. so enjoy the 40s while we got them. lots of sunshine for today. great weather for the tailgating. and also for the broncos -- >> oh right. >> the game forecast will -- will see the temperatures in the mid 40s by kickoff.
