parker and castle rock, they are already seeing snow. danielle grant is in the backyard. the big question is, will the snow stick ? i think overnight and to tomorrow morning, it will. we have seen flurries, but it has been warm relatively speaking. a lot of it melted. tonight a cold front moves through and the snow that we get will stick. i will show you on hd doppler 9 what i am watching right now. snow back to the east on the eastern plains. all eyes are on arizona where the next system is moving in. it is bringing plenty of snow across the arizona high country. flooding rains in parts of phoenix. around here, we are waiting for the second push to push in. up-and-down the i-25 corridor, it has been quiet. there are still mostly cloudy skies and you can feel that the

from the western suburbs and into the foothills, bailey and conifer picking up on steady snowfall. to the north of colorado in fort collins and estes park, they have light snow coming down. also just east of greeley and weld county. you can see that most of the front range is under a winter weather advisory until 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. the sandra the sangre de cristos are under a winter storm warning. across southern colorado we could see the big time storm totals like 10-12 inches by tomorrow night. there is not a lot going on, but give us some time. around dinnertime, there met -- there may be flurries in the metro area. as i mentioned, there is a cold front and that will arrive by 11:00 midnight. that interacts with this storm pushing and from the southwest

upslope flow and the snow will continue to tomorrow night. it may be a little tricky out there. right now mostly cloudy skies sitting over denver and we are at 34 n. of the airport. we have been just sitting near that freezing mark and we have that sloppy, wet and slushy snow out there. the numbers will begin to fall and everything will stick after midnight. we will be picking up flurries here and there and it will pick up and intensity -- and co- intensity once the front -- in through. there are plenty of watches and warnings across the state. we need something to look forward to and it looks like sunshine will be part of our future very soon. okay. it may or may not announce a lot, but we will get some cold. we have certainly seen the

scream mask bank robber. a 25-year-old is wanted in connection with the robbery and the shooting of people on the 18th. the fbi put them on the most wanted list with a reward for his capture. he and two other people covered their faces with a scream mask two people. >> it was brutal and it may note since two shooters people. these people had given them their keys and they just wanted to be out of the situation. one person was shot four times in the back as he tried to flee. >> myloh mason has connections in other states and still could be here in colorado. agents say there are three reasons he may not have been caught yet. it could be friends helping them out, cash from a robbery or simply pure luck. there was a robbery situation and wheat ridge yesterday. it was this time yesterday afternoon. two men were wanted on outstanding warrants.

officers were called to 38th avenue and pierce street and that is what area was closed down. they were wanted for kidnapping, felony assault, possession of dangerous jobs and felony violation. scott was arrested when he ran from the home. the other man was taken into custody just before midnight. we don't know what new charges the two of them could face. someone is cutting the line and as the result the city attorney as up as investigating who is illegally selling equipment time at the dmv. it is for rare slots to get a special driver's license for immigrants who are not in the country legally. the program is controversial and republican spot to reduce funding for it. that is part of the reason why only 3 dmv officers in the

appointments for these licenses. it has created a lot of demand. scammers have been booking the slots online and then selling them from anywhere to $50-$1000 per pop.>> reporter: it is a lot like scalping tickets. they created a market for something that should be free and is free. that was the intention. we want people to get their free service.>> reporter: the dmv office is asking -- the attorney general's office is asking anybody who has paid for the licenses to contact them. don't -- the website can be used by scalpers and it does not ask you to change the name on the appointment. days after learning that the hospice program is closing, the people have learned that the home health program is shutting down as well. home health issues for rehabilitation and other medical needs. in grant county -- grand county more than 100 patients get treatment this way. they are finishing up test

most of us need to make big changes in our diets to follow the guidelines put out today. the guidelines recommend adding sugar to know more than 10% of daily calories. 12 teaspoons per day. a can of coke contains nearly tints -- 10 teaspoons a day. the fruit and sugar is not considered added sugar. it also suggests cutting back on salt and saturated fat and increasing fruit and vegetables in our diet. they recommend making small daily changes.>> whether it is the beverages you drink or eating out one fewer nights per week. when you think about adding additional fruits and vegetables, these changes could get you to a place of healthier eating for your family.>> reporter: i am trying. people should cut back on red and processed meat.

one cause of death in several states is no longer heart disease, it is cancer. data from the american cancer society says that there is a 23% reduction in cancer death rates. deaths from heart disease, the number one killer nationwide have been drop or at a steep -- dropping at a steeper rates. cancer is the leading cause of death in certain groups of people including hispanics, asians and adults ages 40- 79. now the university of colorado hospital has one of the only mobile stroke units in the country. aurora fire emergency medical services are on the treatment unit and they train for today. emergency responders will be able to evaluate the patient and give a ct scan in the field and communicate via equipment and the mobile unit with physicians at that university hospital.

system should be short-lived. it will through 9:00-10:00 tomorrow. it will be done and we will have a slow warm up for the weekend. before we get there, we have to brace ourselves for the system. you can see out toward southwestern colorado that it is looking phenomenal. they are expecting a good dose of winter weather to grow in and continue in tomorrow morning. you can see that the sky just wants to start snowing at any time. we are anticipating a couple of snowflakes falling and then it will be widespread overnight. looking at downtown denver, much the same. after a pretty nice looking work week with temperatures in the 40s since saturday. that is why the light snow that fell earlier this morning did not really stick. today, 35 at the airport and 39 at fort collins. low 40s at lamar.

at the airport, mid 30s with calm wind. we are not anticipating huge totals, by any means. it will be relatively weak as the system presses and from the southwest. you can see on hd doppler nine that not only do we have rain in parts of st. louis, chicago southwest where this nick system will gain. then we will have flash flooding. it is now moving into parts of arizona and the four corners. it will be in our backyard overnight. right now, you can see those snow bands tracking and through new mexico as well as arizona. this system is just off to the east of us. those bands bringing in heavy snowfall with haze as well -- and hayes and western kansas will also be be dealing -- will also be dealing with snow. you can see the snow starting

weld county. also into elbert county. around the metro area, it is almost like a donut hole. we are not seeing anything just yet. wait a few more hours and we will see more snow coming in around, fear, bailey -- conifer, bailey in the foothills. the storm will lift off to the north and east. meanwhile, we are watching the sky as well as the cold front -- this guy as well as the cold front to the north of us. here is the front dropping through at about 2:00-3:00 in denver. that interaction brings northeasterly wind and it will create an upslope flow. that will allow the snow to continue going by tomorrow morning. for the morning drive, it looks tough, but once we get through that, the system should quickly wind down.

texas. those heavier bands of snow will be positioned northeast of colorado. we are seeing the snow because of the interaction with that cold front. we are tracking big weather just to the south. around 11:00-midnight that snow will fall in -- fill in. from the southwest, all of the storms meet in the middle and it will create a cell here by tomorrow morning. here we are by 8:00 and it could be slick around the i-25 corridor. then it pushes into southeastern colorado tomorrow afternoon. then the heavier band just continue through the -- bands just continue through the afternoon. around lunchtime we will have the clouds and then the clearing will happen through the weekend. we will get about 2-5 inches in

the fossilized scrapes are part of what researchers call scrape ceremonies. the claw marks of a three toed animal are visible. basically the mail dinosaurs would create these pseudo-nests to attract females in courtship. researchers say this discovery helps strengthen the link between the dinosaurs of yesterday and the birds of today.>> the connection between the carnivorous dinosaurs and birds has been a hot topic in paleontology. 20 years ago, they started finding feathers on some dinosaurs. we know that birds do it, but today the birds are quite small. now we are finding that the bird ancestors are doing it -- were doing it on a large scale. million years. so far -- >> reporter:, so far at least 50 --
