investigators are trying to find out if this crime is linked to a string of recent smash and grabs in denver, sheridan, wheat ridge, and englewood. the mother of the affluenza teen will be arraigned in texas today. tonya couch is charged with hindering the apprehension of a felon. she arrived in texas yesterday and was taken to the tarran county jail. authorities believe couch and her 18- year-old son--ethan--fled texas in november as prosecutors investigated whether ethan had violated his probation. the two were arrested in mexico late last month. trooper indicted stemming from his arrest of sandra bland has been released from jail on bond. brian encinia turned himself in yesterday. a grand jury indicted him on wednesday. they say he lied about what led to his confrontation with sandra bland following a traffic stop last year... bland was later found dead in her cell. if convicted--encinia faces up to one year in prison and a 4-thousand dollar fine.

troubling scene - florida collapsed and later died after being forced to leave a hospital there. origionally rushed to the hospital she was treated hours later by hospital staff, but the woman felt she needed further medical treatment. the staff said she out and had police arrest her. now her attorneys are calling for action against the hospital and the police department. it's not until 18- minutes later when a doctor comes out after dawson collapsed. she was put on a stretcher and re- admitted to the hospital. she died 2 hours later. dawson's attorneys said they are renewing charges of negligence against
