live details from tehran, iran. >> reporter: shannon, we just received reports from the iranian revolutionary guard public relations office saying the ten sailors and their vessel has been released. the report said they illegally entered iranian waters. after a thorough investigation, authorities here found they had not entered suspiciously, they weren't here for espionage purposes or other harmful reasons, as they put it. they acknowledged that their navigation system on their vessel had broken down and they had accidently ly ally strayed into waters that belonged to iranian territory. we wondered why it took so long to be released. any issue to deal with the united states is very sensitive and has to go through layers of bureaucracy before it can get signed off on. it has been signed off on now. the revolutionary guard says the american vessel was taken into international waters and now

it is unnecessary. and it only serves as a recruitment brochure for our enemies. when politicians insult muslims, whether abroad or our fellow citizen s citizens, when a mosque is vandalized, or a kid is called names, that doesn't make us safer. that's not telling it like it is. it's just wrong. it's one of the few regrets of my presidency. that the ranker and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better. i believe we have to reduce the influence of money in our politics. so that a handful of families can't bank roll our election. i believe in change because i believe in you. the american people. and that's why i stand here as confident as i have ever been that the state of our union is strong.
