now milo mason has been crossed off. police believe he was one of 3 men involved in at least 2 violent bank robberies in lakewood a mew months a-- few months ago, here is ryan tronier with why it was so important to get him off the streets. >> after months of trying to track down the third suspected bank robber, milo mason did not run far, the task force was able to arrest him at a motel 6 in thornton friday. the fbi sent out a press release saying the capture means our community is safer because we believe mason would have continued committing violent crimes while on the run. the arrest affidavit tellathize story of a-- tells the story of a mild bank robber, he and others wore masks and took off with bags of cash.

got into a stolen jeep cherokee which they ditched after crashing that car they shot a woman trying to take her car but failed and stole a man's car and shot him in the back after he gave up the keys. it is interesting a stolen jeep cherokee was used because it happened 5 times before in the previous 6 months in the same area, masked men used a stolen jeep cherokee to get away. no word on if mason or the others will be kecked to those crime-- connected to those crimes. meanwhile, mason is a gang member and felon so law enforcement happy to have him off the streets held on $500,000 bond facing a slew of charges. he is due in court tuesday, i am ryan tronier, 9 news. a wrong-way driver slammed head on to an rtd bus shutting down part of i-225, they suspect alcohol was a factor when a 31-year-old man drove north in

injuries when he hit the bus 3:00 this morning. he is expected to drive. southbound 225 was closed between alameda and mississippi until early this morning. a pickup truck involved in a 3-vehicle crashed slammed into a home on 7th this morning, no one was injured or at home during the time. they hit a load bearing wall so the people inside the home will have to move out until it is repaired. the denver public school system is preparing for job cuts in a letter to staff, the superintendent, susan cordova blamed a drop in state funding, they will eliminate central support roles restructuring the wujt. she did not-- budget. she did not say how many would be cut. most will stay on the payroll

across the southwestern san juans, 9 inches in vail, pardon horn, 3 in steamboat and another storm on the way. the view in boulder, blue sky, little sunshine falling behind the horizon, certainly clouds in the distance as well. hit 28 and at the airport we are 28 in fort collins to 15 leadville, 25 kremmling and a few 30s out west and also across the eastern plains. mostly cloudy out there, winds southeast at 8 miles an hour, making it feel just a bit cooler and here in the 9 news back yard it is quiet and calm, a lot had to deal with the winds, we are sitting at 34 here in the back yard. again, hd doppler 9, it has been relatively quiet, one storm system ending, another beginning to push into the western slope. right now it is just along i-70, glenwoods springs and up towards
