favorable rating of palin, two had an unfavorable rating. i'm not sure this moves the needle at all. on the democratic side, the race is becoming increasingly tight. bernie sanders is gaining in the poll. clinton is trailing sanders in new hampshire. he is leading by 27 points which is 67-33. there is more on tv ads in new hampshire and he's also spent more time in new hampshire. people in new hampshire are confident for who -- with you they are voting for. of virus linked to an epidemic with birth defects in brazil is now spreading quickly throughout the americas. there is no approved treatment for it.

torres, has been researching the zika virus and the cdc is issuing warnings. you. many are concerned.>> you need to be concerned, but you don't want to panic over this. the zika virus has spread dramatically over the world, especially in brazil, south america, mexico and the caribbean islands. there have been cases in the united states as well, but it was because the united states cases went somewhere else and came back. the cdc is issuing warnings for pregnant women. they are basically saying that if you are pregnant, you want to avoid travel to certain areas. if you do travel and something happens, you want to be tested. we will get to that in a second. when it comes to the zika virus , most people are like, what happens if i get it? you will get a mosquito bite that will cause fever, rash,

what about those thinking about getting pregnant like those traveling for a honeymoon or going on a vacation?>> they are saying essentially that if you think you are going to become pregnant or are within childbearing age, you want to think before going to these countries. jamaica has asked women to postpone pregnancy 46-12 months so they can get it more under control. they are seeing -- for 6-12 months so they can get a more under control. they are seeing a lot of cases. right now there is no cure, no treatment and no vaccine against it. the best prevention is to avoid the mosquitoes. if you go to those areas, you know how hard that can be. you want to do what you can do to protect yourself and the unborn child.>> reporter: the reminds us so much of west nile. i know it is a different group

we wanted to show you that. we learned about the in-between process when we visited bonfils today. the blood is processed in a centrifuge which is a big spinning machine. it separates the plasma, the clear part, from the blood cells. the plasma is filtered to save it. the red blood is filtered to filter out the white blood cells. that keeps patients from reacting to the blood when it is given to them. then it is placed in quarantine storage. there is a huge list of diseases that it is tested for. there are different types of blood like o negative and a positive. it is moved to an inventory area where distribution team works 24 hours a day seven days a week to send it out to hospitals all over colorado. their job, although detail

warning. -- reporting. >> that is something i would say to the public. if you are going to donate blood, it takes an hour and a half of your time by the time you drive here, drive home and donate. if you donate platelets, it's a little longer, like two hours., really an hour or two hours to save a life. it is not that big of a sacrifice.>> she makes a good point. it isn't much to save a life. you can make a donation of fred blood cells, white blood -- of red blood cells, white blood cells and plasma. in fact, frozen plasma which is taken from each blood donation is good for up to a year. you can save a life with each donation. just because the plasma is good for a year, it is not the same for the rest.

the worst part for the wind will be around the foothills. allen's park all the way down that would be 27. broomfield 18 miles -- black broomfield 18 miles per hour. tonight is when i think we will have the worst of it with 30-40 mile-per-hour wind speeds. we could have wind gusts in the 25-35 mile-per-hour range along the i-25 corridor. things will be quiet and calmer by tomorrow afternoon. the wind will be coming out of the northwest, but by the evening, it will switch to the southwest and things will mellow out as the storm system packs its bag and moves east.

parts of the east coast as we go into the weekend. the trough will deepen and pick up moisture from the gulf coast and also an invasion of cold air from the north. those ingredients will help the storm system explode. that is why they already have winter storm watches in place from the mid-atlantic to parts of the northeast. there are blizzard warnings for places like baltimore and washington, dc. if you have friends in that direction, make sure they are ready to go. they could have problems with power outages and coastal flooding. not to mention up to 2 feet of snowfall in some areas. it is going to be the wildest winter storm and certainly the strongest we have seen this season. for colorado, we have teens and 20s for the eastern part of the state. 2 for gunnison. around here cloudy and windy with snow flurries here and there. nothing too while.

we do have an update regarding the cement truck rollover at i-25 and university. we understand i-25 has reopened after the rollover this afternoon. one person was injured in the accident. we don't know the extent of the injuries at this point. denver police tell us they are investigating. we have some pretty good ones here. washington state that they think will attract a new type of beer drinker. >> they are drinkers have not past. every bottle that is filled and -- capped is gluten-free. the owners have more than a brewery. the owner eats a gluten-free diet.

igloo the saint john's campus. if you're wondering "why?" a hockey player in minnesota is using all of the freeze time that he has to build an igloo on the st. john's campus. if you wonder why, he says, why not? he is making good use of the recent cold snap. >> he froze each brick with food coloring all at once. it took about two days. it is cool. he's in college. mom and dad probably hope he is studying that much as well.
