5:28 pm
we saw jerseys from other teams, steelers, packers, 49ers, raiders, even the seahawks. all of them telling us they want to be part of this golden anniversary. but you can tell by the enthusiasm, the bronco fans specifically, we're less than 24 hours from kickoff. >> go broncos! whoo! >> it's once in a lifetime. [ cheering ] >> reporter: when there is a once in a lifetime experience or moment in time, you just have to have a souvenir, right? the merchandise trailers have been running out of shirts and they've got. stadium. fans are willing to wait in line 20, 30 minutes for a chance to buy something they know will be expensive, but also something they know will be meaningful. the team that doesn't win historically, the super bowl merchandise for that team goes
5:29 pm
so this is one time, even a person who loves a sale, does not want a sale. we're wanting things to be full priced. we'd like it keep it that way. you know, i've just been begging to be a 9 news sports intern for years now, and that's basically what i'm doing, i'm riding the coat tails of rod mackey and the crew here. i'm warming up his seat and he's joining you later. the broncos made their first trip to levi stadium today. they got a chance to walk through that tunnel, see the field for the first time. i can only imagine how they are feeling this close to the game. >> the nerves, absolutely. >> really special. and you're right, there's nothing sadder than a sale the day after a super bowl loss, you are absolutely right. >> reporter: yeah. you don't want a 50% off shirt under those circumstances. >> no, you don't. full price here. one and only time. we'll talk to you later, thanks. by now all the arm chair

5:31 pm
have to do a few things. one, make cam newton beat you with his arm, not legs. rush him. stay in the lanes. when he runs that read option all the time, which he does brilliantly, knock the hell out of him. you have to. you have to run the football. the best way is to run the football. the last thing might be the toughest, peyton manning has to have his best game he's had all year. he's been a game manager the last couple of weeks. that will not be good enough tomorrow. you buy any of that? >> i do, because i picked the broncos to go to the super bowl at the beginning of the season, and as we come down through the playoffs, you see how they've played. getting by with 20 points against the patriots is one thing. but playing a team like the panthers, yes, they have to raise it another level will. i think two things, i think last game.
5:32 pm
you get to this point, you have to rip open that play book and be aggressive offensively. >> are we in denver just hoping for all this stuff or do in our heart of hearts believe all of this? >> in my heart of hearts, you're talking about a guy who spent time in carolina, i was there when the panthers were born. so i know how, i followed how the panthers have played year after year after year, and they are a great football team. >> they are. >> but i think the denver broncos can go in here and bust up quarterbacks. they've been doing that all season long, ron. >> defense travels, and defense still, even in 2016, can win super bowls. two years ago, they had no defense. no von miller, no chris harris. two years later, they have a defense. i think they win 23-20 in overtime. >> this is what i know, super bowls turnovers have turned
5:33 pm
i think the broncos will force four turnovers tomorrow against the team that leads the nfl in take aways give aways. right. offense and special teams. >> they do. >> 34-16, denver broncos. that adds up to 50, i believe. broncos win super bowl l. >> 23-20 in overtime. >> that's going to do it for us. i'm a. >> i'm z. donald trump will return to the main stage to debate republicans tuesday. he skipped the last debate in fox news. this time around nbc news is hosting. this one will not include an undercard event for low polling
5:34 pm
abc is catching some flak from some prominent republicans for not having fiorina on the main stage. sanders leads clinton in new hampshire, in most polls a double digit lead. clinton supporters hope history will repeat itself. in 2008 she was trailing president obama in new hampshire and came back to beat him. next saturday both candidates will be in denver for the colorado democrat jefferson different. bernie sanders fans are making their support permanent. a tattoo shop is offering free tattoos. the owner says the promotion will run as long as sanders

5:37 pm
>> i know, it is. winds will be kicking up. will make those temperatures feel a little bit cooler. be watching the game. >> exactly. >> having a great time. >> all about that. i know you have great news of a warmup down the road. >> i think you'll like it. >> thank you. what are the broncos doing in the hours leading up to super bowl l?

welcome back. live in santa clara, california. at this time tomorrow night super bowl l will be underway. probably about midway through the second quarter. today the broncos walked through levi stadium. they took team pictures. all that's left to do is a little bit of fine tuning and then that pregame speech.
5:39 pm
pregame speech to help us get over the top sunday, i think our practices haven't gone real well and our game plan is not real good. i know saturday night is a special night, though, because the hay is in the barn and usually our video guy, steve boxer, who is great, shows a little highlight tape and i'm sure he'll have something special ready for us to get guys pumped up. >> reporter: in less than an hour, the 2016 half. fame class will be announced. terrell davis, john lynch and steve atwater, three former broncos. and four broncos who are already in. john elway was the first to make it, as we all know. turns out number 7 was impressive off the field as well. >> they are world champions. >> reporter: he was one of the greatest players of all time.
