champion broncos are back in colorado... and today we are going to celebrate our winning team in style. here you can see them getting off the plane... holding up the lombardi trophy with pride. good morning and welcome to 9news at 4:30. it's tuesday, february 9th... in about 6 hours... the broncos festivies will kick off in downtown denver. there will be a concert, a parade and a rally for a our world champion broncs... hundreds of

show up... we could even see a million people downtown! as you can imagine... a lot of people will want to watch the parade in person. with so many people headed downtown... traffic and parking could be a mess. which means getting downtown will take some planning. 9news reporter victoria sanchez looked into ways you can get to the parade route and civic center park. by car, train, bus, bike or on foot ... make sure you leave early for the broncos parade and celebration. nate currey/rtd 15:12-15 "we're expecting up to half a million to a million people in the downtown area." nate currey with rtd says there will be an increase in train cs and busses -- but it will still be a crowded commute. nate currey/rtd 16:42-55 "plan on getting in at 8. come in early, as early as possible i would say. and plan on staying longer and be patient as people travel in and it takes a while for people to get out of the downtown area too." nat 10:05 rtd is making temporary changes for the parade. all f, h and d lines will end at the convention center - six blocks from civic center park. c, e, and w lines will run normally to union station - where the parade begins. if pedal power is more your style, denver b-cycle will have a type of valet check-in service to get you in and out of civic center park since they expect bike stations to be full. nick bohnenkamp/denver b-cycle executive director 4:20-28 "during the winter we usually average around 400 to 500 rides a day, i wouldn't be surprised if we tripled that especially considering the congestion and influx of people coming into the area." the red bikes cost $9 all day for trips up to 30 minutes. you can ride and return it to any station. nick bohnenkamp/denver b-cycle executive director 4:51-54 "it's going to be a great option for people and that'al. jus them the option."

state of new hampshire this morning. this year marks the state's 100th presidential primary. some votes have already been tallied. 9news reporter noel brennan is following this for us. noel, as is tradition, the first votes were cast at the stroke of midnight. that's right, gary - in the tiny town of dixville notch. only 9 votes were cast - and quickly added up. a couple other small communities have permission to open their polls at

they close them as soon as registered voters have cast their ballots. the rest of the state votes this morning. on the democratic side, it's looking like bernie sanders' race to lose. he's up 26 points over hilary clinton. that's according to the latest tracking poll among likely democratic voters. the clinton camp has been fighting back. bill clinton has called sanders' attacks against hillary "profane" and even "sexist." as voters in new hampshire cast their ballots, sanders appears the clear front- runner. meanwhile, hillary is hoping to close the gap - while also addressing concerns about a staff shake-up. as for the republicans - donald trump is far ahead in the polls... with 31 percent support among

it looks like a three-way race for second between marco rubio, ted cruz and john kasich. as we saw in iowa - the polls don't always predict the winner. president obama wants congress to approve nearly 2- billion dollars in emergency money to fight the zika virus. the money would go toward mosquito control programs and vaccine research. the centers for disease control recently issued its highest alert over the virus... the c-d-c has only done this 3 times in the last decade. the olympics are about six months away. yesterday -- the u-s olympic committee repeated the c-d-c's recommendation about the games. the c-d-c suggested that pregnant women or anyone who is worried about their health may want to stay away from the games. however they said they won't prevent athletes from competing for their country if they qualify. top health experts say its a personal decision. a mesa county deputy was shot several times while

this morning a 17- year-old is in custody. the shooting happened yesterday -- authorities say they got a call about a suspicious person with a gun. deputy derek geer chased the suspect and used his taser. the suspect shot geer several times and ran off... deputies found him less than an hour later. at last check -- geer was at hospital in critical condition. he is a navy veteran, a husband, and he has two kids. we see it every year... the constant freezing and thawing around town has created more of those 'tire-popping' pot holes. one opened up on northbound sheridan - near 33rd avenue. crews showed up around 8 last night to make repairs. we're not sure how many cars were damaged by the pot hole... but one person we talked to said at least 10 cars got flat tires. the city of denver is not responsible for damages - under the colorado

today president obama will present his final budget proposal of his presidency to congress. some new ideas that the administration previewed in recent weeks, including one on cancer research, opioid abuse and military projects, could have life. a $10-a-barrel oil tax for infrastructure and clean transportation projects is certain

the budget unveiling comes the same day as the new hampshire primary. budget is likely to attention. federal safety investigators say some fiat confusing to drivers that they're having a hard time figuring out how to put the car in park. in some cases drivers are getting out of their cars while the its still in gear -- thinking they've parked it! the issue has led to more than 100 crashes and 30 injures... most of them in jeep grand cherokees. that's why investigators are looking into 20-14 and 15 jeep grand cherokees, some dodge chargers, and some chrysler 300 sedans. fiat chrysler says it's cooperating in the investigation. another reason to celebrate today -- it's national pizza day! a recent harris poll found that pizza is america's favorite comfort food. and a 2014 report from the u-s department of agriculture found about one in eight americans eat pizza on any given day.... a lot of people still need to get ready for the broncos victory

released into a nearby canal. an animal charity is scotland is trying to find a home for a giant bunny. meet atlas. you may not believe it... but he's only 7- months old!. this continental giant rabbit is already about the size of west highland terrier... and he's not even full grown! the scottish spca says atlas loves attention and cuddles... he's curious and loves to make you laugh... and just look at those ears! the charity needs to find atlas a specific home because of his breed and size... they're ideally looking for someone who has taken care of a continental giant rabitt before. that's all for
