victories. donald trump and bernie sanders both won by double-digits in yesterday's new hampshire primary. now-- it's on to the next state. 9news reporter tarhonda thomas is here with a wrap- up. tarhonda-- trump and sanders were both projected to win new hampshire. yes. but hillary clinton thought she could stage a bit of a comeback... ...and trump's competitors predicted he could win only by single digits. both of those theories-- proven wrong... as new hampshire primary voters cast their votes. according to the results-- as of last night-- donald trump got roughly 35 percent of the vote. in second place for the republican party-- john kasich. he got 15 percent of the vote. ted cruz-- who won the iowa caucus-- came in third last night. he had about 12 percent... with jeb bush about one point behind. on the democratic side, bernie sanders "bested" hillary clinton by more than 20 percentage points. sanders-- with nearly 60 percent of the vote. clinton-- with

police say he was trying to break into a home -- property records show the house belongs to a former corrections employee. guolee faces more than a dozen felony charges and is a reported member of a white supremacist gang... he's also a suspected associate of evan ebel... the man who shot and killed d- o-c executive director tom clements in 2013. a mesa county deputy will help save a few more lives- before his death. a teenager shot deputy derek geer monday... doctors say he won't survive. before they take him off life support, geer will donate his organs. geer was responding to a call about an armed and suspicious teenager in grand junction when the shooting happened... the sheriff's office says geer fired his taser - and the 17 year old fired a gun. deputies arrested the teenager about an hour after the shooting. they're not identifying him at this time. boulder police think an organized theft ring is responsible for stealing more than two dozen cars.

following this story for years now. construction costs have soared the hospital is expected to cost 1.7 billion dollars that's three times its original estimate. yesterday, the house passed a bill to increase oversight and management over these types of projects. the bill would affect so-called super

"we're not looking to find a single key, we think the culture itself is key." for researchers doug coatsworth and alissa wicklund, the key to solving the concussion problem may lie outside the playing field. for the next three years the pair will partner with the ncaa and the department of defense to study how middle and

"we're trying to understand what the culture is how do parents affect the culture how coaches and teammates influence the culture." both say one of the largest problems in sports is the reluctance of athletes to report concussion type symptoms, which often times can lead to additional and more severe injuries down the road. "we have many clinical tools to examine and treat athletes what we need is a way to understand within the culture so we can get them to that point." a tough sell considering some sports foster an environment that praises athletes for toughness and playing through injury. about what a necessarily "them reporting coatsworth says study is that its success may mean more concussions will be reported throughout all of sports. but at least then, he hopes those athletes will receive help they "this is a treatable problem, a treatable injury we wantthat athletes who nment get
