a second rock slide closed i-70 in glenwood canyon, and we have video from yesterday's slide. amelia will have more information on how drivers can get around the mess, but first, we will check in with noel brennan, and things are too dangerous even for emergency crews to get in and start their work right now. >> reporter: at this point, cheryl, that's what we are hearing, and i'm just west from gypson, and i'm about 9 miles from where the rock slide occurred. this is the frontage road for i- 70, and they are closing off the entrance where we are. we are told from the cdot supervisor here that it's closed mile marker 131 to 116 right now, and that's basically from here to glenwood springs, and we are told in this slide there was a semitrailer

hit this trailer, and at this point, we don't know if anyone was injure in the slide, but cdot telling me that crews are point. helicopter and geologists to look at the slide from above to get in there. this is the second slide we have seen in 24 hours. we have pictures of the first one that happened nearby in glenwood canyon early yesterday morning, about 3:00, and we know it was glenwood canyon, and no injuries in that slide. crews were able to remove the rocks and clear away all the debris, and they had all the lanes opened up about 7:45 last night, about an hour and a half after they had everything fully opened up on i-70. that's when the second slide happened, 9:30 last night, and we will stay on top of this. we will try to get a bit closer to see if we can get a look at

see how the damage is on i-70, and of course, if there are any injuries, and we will pass those along. it's going be a haake for a lot of people trying to get through the area, and let's check in with amelia. there's a couple of detours if you want to get by? >> there are, and cdot just sent out one of their text message updates, and they just updated the information to let us know the best way to get around the closure with no estimated reopening time in mind, and what cdot is recommending is for u.s. 40 or 50, and those are pretty much it. a remote part of the state, and obviously i-70 is the main corridor going through. we will tweet about this throughout the morning, and we will let you know when everything does reopen. cdot has a lot of work to be done, and we are awaiting the pictures here as well. no significant problems here, no major problems for the tuesday morning commute, other

to do the repairs, but now we know the repairs have been finished. a second arizona hospital is offering free hiv and hepatitis testing because of a connection to rocky alan. alan is accused of switching out syringes in englewood. he has left colorado. he worked at lincoln medical center in pheonix for 2 month before he lost his job because of drug-related problems, and now we are hearing he worked at banner thunderbird medical center in glendale, arizona, and he was only there for six weeks. the director of public relations is trying to find out why he left after a short amount of time. 6 minutes after 6 right now, and there's going to be a preliminary hearing for a man investigators believe is one of the scream mask robbers. milo mason was on the fbi's most wanted list for more than

he's one of three men accused of carrying out a string of crimes while wearing the scream masks, and the crimes included a bank robbery, carjacking, shooting in lakewood, and one in sheraton. a former reality star is expected to enter a plea today in federal court in denver. last week a grand jury indicted 52-year-old richard wyatt. he's the owner of gun smoke. he's accused of violating federal law and regulations and then continuing to sell guns at his shop. the indictment says wyatt did not report 1 million dollars in income to the irs. his store was the focus of american guns on the discovery channel, airing in 2011 and 2012. it's 6:07 now, and these homes around green mountain and lakewood will soon be inspected

looking for unexploded military artillery from world war ii. colleen, i can only imagine neighbors have a lot of questions here, and they will get answers tomorrow. >> reporter: exactly. cheryl, it's so interesting, history coming back to haunt us a bit. parts of green mountain in world war ii were an artillery impact area, and now all these years later, they are still getting out and doing investigations and finding unexploded ammunition in these areas. the latest investigation was august 2015. i was out there while the crews were surveying the area. this is video of the investigation. the analysis just came out, and it was found closer to the residential areas near green mountain, and now the state wants to investigate the yards of 126 home the. they are asking residents for permission to search their properties this summer. if you live in the green mountain area, there's two

behind the barrier? >> reporter: exactly. we are waiting to hear how badly the road is damaged. we did hear from a cdot field supervisor that the trailer of the semitruck was hit by the slide. we are just west of gypsum about 9 miles or so away from where the slide happened. there was a gate down here, and that is blocking the entrance to i-70, and there's a cdot truck here, and a guy from cdot cars traveling around here, informing them of what is going on, and also directing them around the closure. we are told by the field supervisor here, a 15-mile stretch of i-70 is closed because of the most recent rock slide, and again, we are waiting to hear about possible injuries from this rock lied. the field supervisor says they are waiting far helicopter to go up in the air when the sun goes up, so they can get a better look at the damage and check to see if it's unstable. after they check that out, you

this is the second slide in 24 hours. these are pictures for add slide that happened at 3:00 in the morning in glenwood canyon. they ended up opening up all the lanes and completely opening up the interstate about 7:45 last night, and it was an hour and a half or so after they opened up all the lanes that when this second rock slide happened, and we will stay out here, talk to cdot, and as soon as we can get closer, we will get you video as well. amelia, this is affecting drivers through the area. there's detours, but will take a long time to get past it. >> you're exactly right, noel. i-70 high school for not a routes are few and par between. the shutdown through glenwood canyon means the alternates of 40 and 50 will be in place.

full-strength beer at football games. tarhonda thomas has been looking into this. >> lsu and nebraska, where we come from, they don't serve beer, but csu does, and now they want to up the ante. they are building a new stadium for 2017, but that does not have anything to do with the requested change. he is comparing them to 37 other colleges that serve full- strength beer. he believes it will be hard to find a provider that sells the weaker beer. it's 3.2%, and they want to sell beer that is 4% alcohol. here's the issue, the athletic department is requiring a violence that allows it to sell liquor. they it to phrase it that way because there's no liquor license for the stronger beer.
