up on. spee03 now in the 20s, a 20 minute drive from i-25 to boulder and coming from the south, castle rock to 225 speeds in the 60s, that will take you 21 minutes. back to you guys. all right, belen, thank you so much . new developments last night in the development -- in the story of a factory in kansas. a man was helping people get outside safely when he came face-to-face with the gunman. the gunman, an employee there, went on a shooting spree at the factory, in the parking lot and two other locations. 14 are hurt, three are dead. the little boy in lakewood said three words when he found out his dad was hurt. >> reporter: he certainly did. when he was told his father had been shot at the plant in

that was meeting. -- that was mean. we're told he's going to be okay. the gunman was eventually killed by police after shooting and killing three people and injuring more than a dozen others. debbie cisneros says her husband was yelling the code word for people to evacuate when he came face-to-face with the shooter. when miller contacted her last night he asked her to be gentle when telling their son what happened. >> i told him his daddy had been hurt and that he was in the hospital, but that he was okay. i thought maybe that was all i would say to him, but he immediately asked what happened. so i told him that somebody had come in and handgun and shot his daddy. -- come in and had a gun and

he said that was mean. gunman was a felon who previously lived in miami. we will continue to monitor the story all morning long. >> all right, thank you so much. a schoolteacher smelled alcohol on a bus driver and now that driver has been arrested, accused of driving drunk. he was arrested on wednesday after he dropped off 30 school. he took a blood test but the results aren't back yet. obsesses he was on medication for the flu and had not been drinking. they need help finding a robber that they say hit a convenience store in weld county. it happened at highway 66 and i- 25 a meeting yesterday.

then walked out the front door. witnesses say he wore a construction mask, white hoodie and white acid washed jeans. if you know anything about the crime, a call there was county sheriff's office -- call the weld county sheriff's office. the park county sheriff says he went along with seven deputies to serve an eviction notice because he knew it was a high risk situation. colleen ferreira joins us and even though they knew the risks, they said there was no indication that there would be any violence. >> deputies followed him into his home and that's when the man started shooting. colorado, the community of bailey -- everyone is great -- grieving right now. we go to bailey to see how they are honoring a friend and coworker.

the fact that he's gone. to me this is a slap in the face, not only to my office, but to the community. all like -- i can stand up here and shake my head but if that individual had a problem then come to me unless figure out a peaceful resolution. >> we are simply there to do our job, which is have the folks move out of a residence. peaceably. that's all it was. that's all it should have been. because the previous law enforcement contact -- left a higher level of concern for the deputies. we did not force the violent confrontation yesterday. we simply responded to the situation that was presented to us.

happened is just beyond comprehension at this time. i would like to talk a little nate carrigan. he was a caring individual, he works tirelessly, he was an excellent law enforcement professional. his death will be hard on our agency, and the loss will be felt for a long time. this is one of those things that should not have happened. >> just a beautiful tribute. in lieu of flowers they are asking for donations to a scholarship

coming up at 6:00, i have folks from the community of bailey -- they are grieving just as much is the officers are. they described him as jolly. >> and in those towns everyone knows each other. not just those of each other but really knows each other. >> he was the baseball coach, a football coach. >> all right, thank you. republic airways which flies shorter flights for elk -- delta and united -- has now filed for bankruptcy. they had to ground planes due to a pilot shortage. republic offers about 1000 daily flights and will continue operating while in bankruptcy. halliburton cuts another 5000 positions. that's about 8% of its worldwide presence in the oil services industry.

this is a pony named juliet that got loose and started running down the highway but police in town -- in hot pursuit until someone who also owns a horse brought her home. she's a little feisty, but she looks just fine. no one else was hurt. she looks good in her headband. >> she was probably thinking, what's this thing on my head? >> maybe that's why she went running.
