murder-- is, once greusome crime. police say he held a raping and torturing her for four months... in 9news reporter here with more . suspect was february. yes. details of the crime-- in an 18-page arrest affidavit. it includes graphic information on the nightmare that a faced in gateway, the tiny town is grand junction. inside this home-- police say 61-year- old claude lee wilkerson carried out his crime. the 26-year-old victim was homeless, when wilkerson brought her to his home. he'd promised to let her stay there-- and pay her for doing work around the house. but the victim says-- when she got there-- wilkerson put a chemical on a rag-- to make her pass out. she then was chained up to a bed. she says wilkerson repeatedly raped her... ...and treated her like a "pet." ..rewarding her for "good behavior." the whole time-- a 14-year-old runway

out the crime. that girl got away from the home... and told police about the woman who was kidnapped. wilkerson was first arrested in colorado in 1974 -- during a burglary case in grand junction. in 1978 - he was one of four men arrested and convicted in connection with the deaths of three people during a jewelry store robbery in shiner, texas. that put him on death row. but the conviction was thrown out-- on a technicality. now-- wilkerson is back behind bars... accused of this crime. the woman who was held captive-- is not getting help from the mesa county victim's assistance program. meantime, the teen runway who helped wilkerson has been reunited with her family. police haven't released much more information about her. we expect to continue to learn more, as this case

we looked into wilkerson's past as a former death row inmate in texas... a federal court threw out his conviction... and that allowed him to move to colorado. back in 19-78... wilkerson was accused of plotting a bank robbery with three other people... and helping kill three witnesses. wilkerson confessed to part of the crime... the problem: the confession came after he had asked for a lawyer... but before the lawyer was present. wilkerson's lawyer in texas says... he still hears from wilkerson periodically... wilkerson looks very different in his mug shot - than in texas. looking into this case... and bring you updates on the

hoping you recognize this guy. back in january he's accussed of assaulting and robbing a vicitm in the area of krameria and leyden. he's hispanic.... about five foot six it's believe he fled grand cherokee anyone with information is asked to call police. a prison cell does not count as your home... so you cannot use deadly force to defend it. that's what a bill says - that's going through the colorado legislature now. it clarifies the "make my day" law... which allows deadly force to defend against intruders. that law has been used twice to exonerate colorado inmates who have killed fellow inmates who entered their cells. the state house passed the bill yesterday. it'll be voted on one more time... before heading to the senate. new details are emerging about why the aurora theater shooter was moved out of the colorado prison system. prison documents show... he was transferred after

attacked him at the prison in canon city. they say an inmate pushed himself through an open door and hit the shooter in the head. a prison employee was also injured in the attack. a colorado department of corrections spokeswoman says... the attack was among many reasons why he was transferred to a different facility in january. james holmes's new prison is still a secret. a woman was recently sentenced to 208 years in prison for nearly killing an elderly man in his home. she wasn't an intruder, this wasn't a random attack the woman was living in the home as caretaker. jack woods hired jana bergman to live with him, to keep him company and cook. she hid the nearly 90-year old man from his daughter.. bergman was a convicted felon. in fact, jack had bailed her out of jail three times.. in october of 2014, the two had a fight. where she nearly killed jack.
