many n-f-l players are posting online about manning's decision to retire. old friend and competitor tom brady posted... "congratulations peyton on an incredible career. you changed the game forever and made everyone around you better. it's been an honor." 9news cartoonist drew litton has this tribute and goodbye to peyton. the sheriff's clicking his heels... holding the lombardi trophy... heading into the sunset. during his 18-year career.... peyton manning set some impressive records. he broke brett favre's record for passing yards in 2015. manning is also the passing touchdowns leader with 539. and he's tied with favre for the most regular season wins. manning is the only five-time nfl most valuable player.

career that's been pretty spotless. in his last season though... he faced an n-f-l investigation. in december-- al jazeera released a report... accusing manning of having human growth hormone-- or h-g-h-- sent to his home under his wife's name in 2011. manning has denied taking h-g-h and threatened a defamation lawsuit. the source for the report has since changed his story... al jezzera says they stand by it. the official press conference to announce manning's retirement-- will be at 11 this morning. we'll carry it live on 9news, channel 20 and on 9news- dot-com. the candidates seeking the democratic presidential nomination faced off in another debate in flint, michigan. hillary clinton and bernie sanders had several heated exchanges... but the debate was pretty civilized compared to the gop debates lately. nbc news reporter tracie potts is live in washington dc this morning. tracie - clinton and sanders had a lot to say about the flint, michigan contaminated water crisis.

light up a cigarette outside in boulder county could soon face a fine. the board of county commissioners will vote tomorrow on new proposals banning smoking tobacco and marijuana - in parks and open spaces. fines could range from 75-dollars for a first offense... ... up to 300-dollars for the third offense. deputies are searching for two armed robbers who held up a liquor store in gypsum, on the west slope. deputies say two men walked into the 'liquor shop', pulled out a gun on clerks, and demanded cash. the robbers fled the scene with money and credit card receipts. the suspects took off in a light colored ford pickup with camper shell on it. if you know you anything about this crime, please call eagle county sheriff's office. dia continues its record setting streak. the airport set a

carter. he no longer needs cancer treatment. president carter made the announcement at his church in georgia... saying he is done with his immun-o-therapy. the 91 year old carter started treatments in august - after small lesions were found on his liver and brain. the former president said doctors will continue to monitor his condition for some time. if your child too stressed out? lots of parents are finding
