overnight. a man was in a car, refusing to get out, and police believe he was armed. jessica oh has an update. good morning, jessica. >> reporter: good morning, corey. such a stark difference from -- at this scene from what we saw 15, 20 minutes ago. we saw police cars surrounding not just king soopers but surround areas as well. as i walked closer to the scene, we saw police officers with rifles drawn, running across closer to the scene here. it was very tense. they were yell into mega phones, asking for whoever was inside this car to come out. we saw somebody walk out of the car with his hands in the air. that person has been taken into custody this morning. then we immediately heard police yelling through the mega phone for another person and tell that person to come out. police have not confirmed who was inside. we're waiting to get more

so this scene cleared up 10, maybe 15 minutes ago. police all of a sudden turn their lights off and said the situation ended peacefully but we, again, know at least one suspect has been taken into custody. we are working to learn more about exactly what happened here but first, let's check the roads with amelia. the good news is sheridan is open. yes, that's right, jessica and thanks for rushing for good information on the scene. we do know -- jessica was able to confirm roads have opened 38 and sheridan. the previous enclosure was 38th but everything is back to normal, no delays because of the early morning hours. the rest of the drive is very quiet. we're looking at the 225 corridor between tamarack and dtc with a great convection towards the i-25 drive. we're starting to see our build- up already across 270, an early start with drive times looking pretty good but overall very

quite small in the area and will be a much greater chance than county line road north. we will have a few clouds build up late this afternoon. >> all right, thank you much. there is a frantic search to find this one-week-old baby taken from pueblo over the the boy's father disappeared with his son after a doctor's appointment. police said the father has ties to mississippi and they're working with investigators to see if they may have had it down there. the infant's mom told police the baby's father, earnest johnson, took him to a doctor's appointment last tuesday. that was the last time they saw or heard about him. police believe johnson could be

rpq. the morgan county sheriff's office is worried about this woman, 66 who has not been seen in a week. she has dementia. one last saw her on road r west of fort morgan. people are asked to check sheds, garages, or vehicles for a sign of her. she's 4'10", 95-pounds. anyone with information is asked to call the number on your screen. denver police the west side this morning. a pedestrian died near alameda and morrison sunday night. it's unclear whether it was a hit-and-run. a photojournalist saw a car come back. the driver initially took off and police not confirm if the car was involved, saying the case is under investigation. one man is dead, another injured after a shooting on knox court in west denver. the shooting happened early sunday morning a few blocks from alameda and federal.

police still don't have a suspect or possible motive. neighbor have seen an increase in violence in that neighborhood recently. clouds will be around through the afternoon and will get a nice break mid-morning to around lunchtime and then really small rain storm chances late this afternoon. as far as the front range goes, clearing during the middle of the morning and small showers. notice how the conjugating along county line road. the reason is we have low pressure in the four corners and really pulling everything mostly into could be isolated storms north but i don't think there will be many. in the next two or three day, an isolated shower and smaller

we appreciate it. 5:39 now. some kids can't wait to go out and play. some who play too soon after concussion could extend recovery time. some kids took twice as long to recover and had more difficult recoveries if they just kept playing. more kids are picking their one favorite sport and skipping all the others. a new report shows over the past 40 year, fewer kids are trying out many different sports. instead, they're specializing in just one. the report says at higher risk of injury and burnout by the time they're teenagers. pediatricians saying trying more sports means they're more likely to have fun and enjoy exercise throughout life. kids who specialize in one sport should rest for three months during the year and take one to two days off a week. >> that's kind of interesting. >> um-hmm. >> back in the day, everybody used to play everything. more parents are delaying or refusing vaccines, but their reasons have changed over the

donald trump will unveil his proposed and likely revised immigration plan. he tweeted he's expec ing large crowds and needs a bigger venue. in the past, trump has said he would deport 11 million immigrants here illegally t off, saying he would "work with the immigrants" before deporting them. he seems to single out criminals for deportation and he said he still plans to build a wall between the u.s. and mexico. neither candidate will be on the trail today. trump is new jersey with his family, looking at his immigration speech and next month's first debate. hillary clinton is fundraising.

on sunday while also doing some debate prep. and she got her first national security briefing as a candidate over the weekend, too. today, democrats will argue donald trump's outreach to african-americans and minorities really not very sincere. donald trump is trailing in colorado and is putting money into getting some votes back. his campaign is planning its biggest ad buy of the election so far. until recently, he spent relatively little on televisi ads compared to clinton's million and is expected to spend $10 million on commercials in nine states including colorado. clinton has spent millions in ads over the summer but recently stopped buying time in colorado. anthony wiener is in trouble for sending a risque picture to a woman who isn't his wife. you have heard that headline before, by the way. this time, the picture is getting him in trouble because his 4-year-old son is in the background of it. the search continue in italy for those killed by last week's destructive 6.2 earthquake. at least 290 people are confirmed dead but that number could go up. hopes of finding any more survivors are dropping as the hour and days pass. teams are now tearing down beyond repair but partially standing. italian authorities promise to investigate whether ignoring building codes played role in the high death toll. sometimes the only way to survey damage is with drones. now, new drone rules in the u.s. will take effect to let thousand of pilots fly remote- controlled gadgets legally. the federal aviation administration will let people fly drones if they first take a test. so far, nearly 4,000 people
