the agriculture department closed office in five states including colorado after receiving anonymous threats. usda spokesperson matthew herrick said the september received a nonmouse message that raids concerns about the safety of personnel and facilities. the offices are closed including fort collins. the department is working with law enforcement agencies in various areas to determine whether threats are credible. officers in connecticut and maryland, north carolina and west virginia received the text. it's coolish with low 70s. here's a look at e state. we have denver with blue sky and reservoir with traffic

the area. surfers stay out there. there are flooding caution for drivers and people going acrossroads and bridges. we are hoping to learn more in jefferson county. a woman in conniver was killed by two pets, family pit bull, and officials are trying to find out. here's 9news reportser jessica oh. >> reporter: the jefferson county sheriff's office deadly dog attack in conniver that happened last night and it was around 7:00 when a mother and her adult son were inside their home when two terrier pit bulls attacked the mother. we don't know what led to the attack and why the dogs were provoked. that's something investigators hope to find out today.

dogs were acting aggressively and the son did everything he could. he tried to pull those dogs away from his mother and was unsuccessful and by the time the authorities arrived, the mother had died from her injuries. >> the deputies did a great job. the animal units were able to get the dogs contained. unfortunately, the female passed away and we weren't able to help her in time. >> at this point don't know what happened. the son could only tell us the female was attacked. >> reporter: the son is recovering from his injuries at swedish hospital this afternoon. officials don't know exactly what led up to this attack and hope to learn more about that this afternoon but we do know that no incidents have been reported at that home involving the dogs. in jefferson county, jessica oh, 9 news.

way. long-range models are forecasting above average temperatures for most of the country. that's what we'll see in the short material. clouds will start to increase as we go throughout the afternoon. highs will be in the low 80s and we'll have isolate to scattered storms this afternoon. 76 at d.i.a. and in the back yard, 71 degrees. the forecast for the rest of the state -- let's take a look at it, sh 60s. 70s in northern colorado and eastern plain, few more cloud, 70s. a closer look means we have sky that are bit blue for fort collins. this afternoon, low 80s from fort collins into denver and then 70s and 60s in the western slope, high of 89. we continue to see monsoon wind

in colorado, we have a better chance of seeing heaviest rain in the mountains and for southeast colorado. this severe weather correlates with the monsoon wind pattern because the central part of the country will have flash flooding and heavy rain expected. we'll take you throughout the rest of the day. through 5:00 p.m., notice we could have storms east and to the south of us and northern colorado, closer to the foothills. there could be heavy rain, small overnight, we could have light shower in the city and through tomorrow morning, we're wake up to partly cloudy skies with the potential for more storms, especially south of us, but our chance of rain does go down. the rain forecasts through tomorrow afternoon shows heavier pockets of rain and in the mountains with lighter amounts in the metro area so it's something we will see a tenth of an inch. 53 will be the low. we're 23 days away from the

behavior that's significant and not really positive is something to be alert to. >> this stress or anxiety could be present at any age, whether you're a kindergartner or sophomore in high school. >> absolutely, including infants or college students, but it's prominent this time of year in elementary-aged kids, middle school, and high school. >> so what do you do? you notice your child is grumpy. "how are you doing?" "fine." how do you break the ice and find out wh pocket of time where you can be together and might just be coming and signature at the table while they're doing their homework, reading the paper, doing something you need to work on. if you can carve ten or 15 minutes to talk in the evening, maybe on a short walk or before they go to bed, those can create moments where your child may be more likely to share something. >> okay and maybe get the school involved if there's an issue at school. but at home, i know you recommend lots of sleep, which is so hard to do after the

could be on the market in a couple of months, but advocates said many may avoid the generic and stick with the more expensive brand name they know. we'll see how this plays out. this is a tough story but very sweet. taylor and her mother had her mother with her at her gender revealing ultrasound appointment. actually, the appointment to her mother donna. she had stage iv brain and lung cancer, too weak to leave the hospital bed to go to the appointment so look here. taylor and the hospital staff brought the appointment to donna's bedside so donna got to see her very young granddaughter. but then donna passed away three days later. as taylor says, though, she will be her daughter's angel in heaven, always look down on her.
