to 70-mile-per-hour winds and dangerous rip currents. the post tropical cyclone is churning in the atlantic and forecasters say it is picking up strength. it is not likely to make landfall again but strong storm surges and dangerous currents remain a threat from virginia to massachusetts. it's even prompted new york city to shut down beaches today. crew cruise liners are taking extra precaution bringing ships back to port early. it is responsible for two at hundreds of thousands to lose power over the life of the storm. now to the race forhe white house. it is tightening with just 21 days till the first presidential debate. donald trump copies to lose members of his own party. >> you i would not vote for hillary clinton, and as of now, i would still not vote for donald trump. i just know that i had like to vote for donald trump. it's not comfortable to not support your nominee, but given the positions he's taken and the

the discussion came as tensions between the united states and russia reached new heights as president obama prepares for a press conference set to take place in a couple hours. joining us from china is ron allen. anything you can tell us about the president's meeting with putin given their frosty past? >> reporter: that's putting it mildly. we understand they had a meeting on the sidelines of this summit, not a formal one-on-one meeting that's important and it lasted about 90 minutes or so. a lot of it was about syria. there have been frantic efforts to try and broker a cease tire to get nid that besieged country and to perhaps even go further and begin talks about a political solution. it's unclear exactly what, if anything, the two leaders agreed to. one thing we know, there are going to be more talks between the secretary of state and foreign minister of russia in

so no final announcement. there was a period here where we thought there would be some kind of deal but it apparently didn't come together. president obama has said he's very skeptical about reaching an agreement. from the air, militarily and the president is very concerned about trying to get humanitarian assistance to people who are still there in syria. so it's significant that they talked. it's progress. this may be the last time putin and president obama meet face to face. that's also significant. this may it be president obama's last turn on the world stage in face to face meetings on the world stage. he's hoping to get a lot done in a short amount of time. >> ron allen there in china. thank you. today, he would have turned 3 years old. but we celebrate his first birthday in heaven with the

brought in to help fight a wildfire burning in larimer county. it only took a few hours for the starwood fire to spread to 300 acres by sunday afternoon. the fire is burning northwest of fort collins near red feather lakes. flames threaten around 30 structures - and one subdivision was their own will. crews have the fire ten percent contained. the cause is under investigation. good morning.... im corey rose here with gary this morning. marty- we're expecting some windy weather that could cause the starwood fire to spread?
