good morning everyone. we begin with a gunman who shot president ronald reagan and three other people in 1981. john hinkley will be a free man today. >> he spent more than 35 years in a mental hospital in washington for the crime. vida urbonas has more from the information center. >> good morning. the man who shot president ronald reagan 35 years ago is scheduled to leave a washington area mental hospital for good later today. a federal judge ruled in late july that the 61-year-old john himself or the public and can live full time in his mother's time in virginia. hinkley had already been visiting williamsburg for long stretches at a time. he lived with his family in evergreen, colorado, a year before the attempts on the president's life. he will live with his mother for a year before living alone or with roommates.

and reupholstering, so it gives you a good starting point. if you have a basic piece of furniture and sewing machine, this is something you could do. last week i showed you how i took apart an old bar stool, stripped the stain and refinished it. i still had to reupholstee seat. i was intimidated by the process, so i called my mom. after that phone call, she assured me that this was something i could easily to. so start, i flipped the seat cushion over and started removing what seemed like two million staples. i used two different tools, a flathead screwdriver and needle-
