colorado. first told there was five, the number is now six and four have been released. five to university hospital and have gone home. three went to aurora and have also been released. 9news reporter nelson garcia joins us from legacy high school where students and parents have been gathering. >> reporter: here at legacy high school the two school buses did return here and as each student l. and -- left the bus faculty and students were there. no visible sign of emotion for most of them. everyone was stoic. some of the football coaches left without saying a word to the media. of 18 people hospitalized 15 were students and three coaches suffered suffered the most serious injuries. they wanted to make sure

other students who were not on the football trip to california came here to also offer support. we talked with one senior who is concerned for the welfare of her classmates and coaches. >> i was close with one of the coaches. he helped me a lot. the football team has also helped us. i have a heart and lung condition and they helpful and -- very close. like a family. >> we offer our condolences to the family of our bus driver who has died. we need keep the legacy high school and 5 star community in our thoughts and prayers this

>> sunshine and 90 in the city today. the cold front is knocking on the door. dropping temperatures 15 degrees by mid-morning. as we look outside there are a few clouds around the area. the wind died down. mild, mid-70s in the city. mid-50s in the foothills. high country smoke and haze from our wildfire, silver creek fire winds transporting the smoke and haze into humidity 8% in denver all day. and moisture levels higher with the advance of a cold front from the northwest. the blue area, that is a winter weather advisory. yeah the front has cold air with it. today gusty thunderstorms in south western colorado. wind and lightning, something firefighters don't want to see but they will be happy with the temperatures tomorrow and the chance for showers monday and tuesday. over night cloud cover moves out.

smooth ailing on i-25 and i-70. no weather issues in the morning. 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., 59 and 68 degrees. and coming up we will talk about the monday cold front, how much rain are we expecting and will the mountains see snow to highlight the wonderful aspens that are starting to change. a man who led officers on a chase fired shots from his vehicle along draper after 1:00 a.m. this morning. aurora police say he stole a car and fired. accused of pointing his gun at officers. police have four scenes to process where shots were fired. >> at least twice in the shootings people were shot at. human beings were shot at that we know of. >> investigators say officers got him in custody without using weapons.

he may also have felony warrants out of denver. police in denver have investigating a shooting downtown that left one person dead this morning. police arrived at the scene after 7:00 a.m. where they found a man's body. crews are trying to find the cause of a fire at an abandoned sugar mill, it started before 7:00 p.m. smoke was coming from the south the website says the building contained asbestos several years ago. crews fought the fire from the outside. although it is near the city limits it is in boulder county. hundreds of people came to the hospital to show their support for a detective. he was shot while responding to a call last week and he is recovering at the hospital. community members organized a

front will be in mid-morning. winds from the southwest to the east, northeast and there is enough moisture that we expect scattered showers to develop during the day tomorrow. maybe turning heavy tomorrow night and redeveloping again on tuesday. good shift in the pattern. the heaviest rain and snow is north of us and down to the south. but there is enough coming in there they be thunderstorms. storms that produce hail. look at the high tomorrow com-- billings tomorrow compared to denver. going to start to feel like fall, especially across northern colorado early in the day. hurricane irene we don't have -- high country, we don't have snow. cold air behind it and maybe some of the heavier rain this time tomorrow night.

not all smooth sailing. in those incidences where the bumps do happen i think that gary is very adept at helping, you know, young quarterbacks through the difficult times and to maintain focus on the right things. i would say he learned some from what i went through and handled things. but trevor, the reality is that the expectation is not to be peyton manning. he needs to play his game. >> good enough athlete. head first dive inside the 30. >> you said with john and he said with peyton i have to be myself. i am not worried about the guy in front of me, how hard was that to separate that? for yourself and teammates and his teammates? >> well, i mean, linse i think we all understand it is --
