police expressed concerns about a possible "active terrorism network" in the new york and new jersey area... police found at least five explosives inside a backpack at a new station and sent in a bomb robot. police say - the robot was cutting a wire when one of the bombs exploded in elizabeth, new jersey. right now - heavily armed fbi agents are conducting a raid at an elizabeth, new jersey address -- the same town where the bombs were found. we also know police stopped a "vehicle of interest" and questioned five people last night.. none of those five were charged. we'll keep bringing

year-old adrian shaffer opened fire on deputy terri javes along highway 287 - south of longmont. before the shooting, several 9-1-1 callers had reported a man with a gun walking along the road and threatening drivers. javes was not hurt. the boulder county sheriff's office says shaffer died this weekend - after being in the hospital for a week. the shooting is still under investigation. javes is a 19-year veteran of the sheriff's department. a constructi after a trench collapsed around him. the south adams county fire department says the crew was working on some kind of line near east 72nd and ivy when the collapse happened around 11:30 sunday morning.. a man in his 30s was trapped from the waist down. emergency responders freed him around 3 in the afternoon... he was awake and talking the entire time. one person is dead after a shooting in

sunday night - and found a man shot in the chest near west 99th place. that man was pronounced dead at the scene. police say a woman was taken the hospital - but she was not injured. detectives are getting search warrants for the house... no details about the victim or any suspects have been released. a warning if you want to go hiking down in colorado springs... police there are looking for two armed robbers - who are targeting popular hiking areas. police say the suspects wore masks when they approached a car early sunday. they opened the door and ordered the victims to get out and hand over their valuables. the suspects then stole that car. our affiliate at kktv says a similar incident happened last month. later today - funeral services will be held for the bus driver killed in the legacy high school bus crash last week.. friends and family will gather to remember kari chopper.. chopper worked for adams 12 five star schools for four years... the service will be at crossroads church in thornton at six tonight..

will be ready help students at lafayette's peak to peak charter school - after one of their classmates collapsed at a cross country meet. senior brandon reis died friday - after collapsing during a 5-k race in broomfield. according to the boulder daily camera - reis was co-captain of the team. over the weekend - students and faculty gathered at the track to remember the 18- year-old. from one first responder to another... today - a south metro fi fundraiser for douglas county detective dan brite -- who continues to recover after being shot earlier this month. firefighter corey sutton also owns a coffee shop -- i-vibe coffee -- and plans to host a fundraiser there today. the shop will take donations and donate 50 percent of today's profits toward the brite family. you can find i-vibe coffee on south broadway in littleton. brite was shot at the beginning of the month - after responding to a suicidal man. on the campaign
