the winds have picked up a bit. you can see the flags whipping around just a bit. a little warmer along the eastern plains, close to 90 in lamar. 60s and 70s in the mountains. another day in the 80s toward grand junction. the winds are out of the east at 20 miles an hour. and walk-ins out there toward centennial as well. here in the metro area, look for a light breeze. as we look ahead toward hd doppler 9, nothing has been been so quiet and calm. but we have a couple of storm systems out there. one that is still churning across parts of the desert southwest bringing showers to phoenix, las vegas, and southern california. a spot that could use some. and another storm that is just sitting out there across the great lakes. a fantastic looking forecast for us with all of the warm temperatures and drier

syria is escalating. there was an attack on two hospitals. the violence in syria has been described as the worst bombarding since the civil war erupted. the russian military says it is ready to resume contact with the u.s. over the situation. russian expecters say they are ready to travel to geneva to restart talks with the u.s. to "search for possible ways to normalize the situatio completely collapsed. syrian government forces backed by russian war planes have launched in an attempt to take over rebel held neighborhoods. unifec says over 100 children have been killed. 220 injured in the last 20 days. leaders around the world are reacting to the death of

shimon peres. he is best known for leading peace talks with palestinians leading to the signing in 1993. it ended in a famous handshake between sworn enemies. professor shaye joins us from the university of denver to talk about the legacy the present. thanks for joining us. i have heard a lot of quotes over the last day or so peres. one that stood out to me, the duty of leaders is pursue face of doubt ?c??and disappointment. what do you think he meant about that? >> as a major architect of the agreement in 1993, peres suffered great disappointment since it did not meet the expectations for the palestinians and israelis and a final settlement was ?kd&fnot

today was a faastic one. ?:nshi little storm emto the southwest] clouds roof ?p we?wstn colorado. overlooking the san juans. darker cloud little bit of blue skie?kw5s to boot. temperatures go. rainfall, well, below average. it is just close to three tenths and no snow. in sight here in the metro area. it has certainly been a warm one. a fantastic month. low 80s close to 90 in lamar at 87. 87 in salida. gunnison. right now, we are still hanging tight to the 80s . winds have been picking up a little bit

gusting to 15 miles an hour. here in the backyard, a nice little breeze. we will call it a day right? our temperatures also sitting right there at 81. on hd doppler 9, it has been tough to really find anything going on across the radar as far as rain, snowfall. we will zoom out. you can see the snow system that is just churning across portions of arizona, utah. the las vegas area circling back into parts of california. they are lucky to see all of that rain. around here, pretty dry. temperatures will be cooling off t clear conditions. the winds should quiet down just a bit. and we stay in the 40s along the eastern plains, 38 in kremmling. and an extremely mild evening in grand junction with the cloud cover overhead. the rest of this evening around town looking good. a lot of sunshine, clear skies throughout the rest of the afternoon. tonight, we will go with mostly clear conditions across the eastern plains with that cloud deck, just hugging tightly to the western slope. 7:00 tomorrow morning rolls around. you are back to work, back to

with the sunshine. the clouds will be increasing throughout the day as will showers too. in fact, we could have heavy pockets of rainfall down there in telluride, pagosa springs. they will slowly be spreading closer to i-70. the northern mountains toward the river valley. steamboat. this is around 5:00. meanwhile, across eastern colorado, yet again, we will be watching for sunshine, a few increasing clouds as the afternoon and evening goes on. mof the west of the continental divide. out there across the caribbean, we are watching for some tropical storms, tropical storm matthew is already starting to gain some momentum. looks like it is pushing throughout parts of jamaica as we head toward the weekend ending up in cuba potentially as a cat 2. we will keep a close eye on this storm system. this is several days out so it could always change paths just a little brit. tomorrow here in denver, 81. loads of sunshine early on. then we will watch for a few
