right now - the city manager says grand junction is facing a 2-million dollar shortfall in the general and captial improvement budgets. the good news... parents are tryihg to save money for their child's college education. the bad news... some of them - aren't very good at it. an t-rowe price survey found that nearly half of parents with a 5-29 savings plan took money from the account. and for most - the reasons had nothing to do with education. going on vacation and paying for weddings were two big culprits.. some parents say - they thought the money was "use it or lose it"... those penalties - exist at both state and federal levels... so experts say the best thing to do...
