a new poll -- up. a new poll out today is excellent news for senator bennett and clinton in colorado. she's ahead of donald trump, 38 for trump. 7 percent for gary johnson, and 3 percent for jill stein, and another 3 percent undecided. senator bennett has widened his already significant lead over darryl g 53 percent, glen at 35 percent, and williams has 4 percent, and the green party candidate has 3 percent, and 5 percent undecided. if you're looking to get baked and participate in democracy, the clinton campaign is bringing dave matthews to denver to play a concert featuring harmonica player and vice president nominee tim kaine.

political signs coming our way in the swing state of ours. we pick up our conversation today with democratic us senator michael bennett with the single biggest issue his republican rivals seized on. the nuclear deal with iran. >> reporter: what do you think the chances are that iran cheats on the nuclear deal? >> very high. >> reporter: and you're confident the systems are in place that it could be caught. >> i think it would be caught. >> rt on that deal, any regrets? >> none. if you look at where we were when i voted on that deal, iran had ten bombs of enriched uranium, and within months of breaking out the nuclear bomb, and because of that deal they no longer have the enriched uranium to build one bomb. >> reporter: you supported

wanted you to support sanders, and you explained why, but i don't understand why you weren't there at the democratic national convention when it was time to put your vote on the record. you were the one person absent? >> i don't know who else was absent or not. i had one and a half days i could spend at the convention, i wanted to spend the rest of the time here in colorado, and i'm glad i did. >> reporter: so it wasn't the heat of the moment? >> no one suggested that. >> reporter: democrats are making the argument agains politics, saying that he's one unfit for the office, and two that he would be a danger if elected. do you believe that about your opponent darryl glen that he's unfit or would be dangerous? >> no, and i am grateful for his service to the country. i do think that his position that he's taken that he can't work with any elected
