well defined eye. now here's a look at the radar loop. and it's pretty impressive. you can know in 60 miles in each direction and still face hurricane force winds. as this hurricane grazes parts of the eastern coastline, we'll be watching that impact not only on the coast but inland, too. not only will the rain be a problem but storm su picking up easily 9 to 10 inches. this storm grazing northern florida coming in towards georgia, south carolina by tomorrow as a category 3 storm. it hooks around towards charleston before taking a southerly track by sunday and potentially going right back to where it is right now. very interesting if that happens, kyle. we'll keep a close eye on it. >> appreciate the update,

it wasn't done perfectly. a man was seen with a sword- like knife near the stadium. he was shot and killed by police after he refused to drop the weapon. here come the idiot prank administers calling in three false threats -- pranksters calling in three false threats. they're reviewing the response and threats to students. after water, this swimmer was aiming for a record near utah and she made it. got in the water on tuesday. finished her swim after about 4:00 today. no net. no holding on the boat. no one on the sport team was even allowed to touch her. they tossed her protein shakes to drink. she had to face the water and the winds herself.

record holder for the longest known unassisted swim. congratulations to confer thomas. and beer fest is underway. right now i have missed 62 minutes of it so far. 90 minutes by the way end of the show. not that i'm counting. denver police, event security, and gavf staff have seats to watch the scene below. 15,000 people or so at a time down there can drink safely. >> we generally don't have a lot of problems. >> reporter: space management. >> uh-huh. >> reporter: that's fascinating to me in terms of how much space do people like to have. >> that's something we've learn add long in years. when we have a more crowded hall, people bump each other a little bit and may get a little testy with one another.
6:03 pm
more feet in the aisles? added more halls that we were able to get. spread things out a bit more. looked at the design and thought, hey, we think this works better. the first year we dithat, people said, we don't know what was different, but it felt much better in there. >> reporter: this is total nerd stuff. but i'm fascinated by the hour by hour timeline. it's weeks long. shoutout to carol, she runs a tight shift. she pulls festival that welcomes 60,000 people. the vast majority of attendees are men. i will sit down with the woman who's been running it for almost 15 years in just a bit. how much room is left in our cemeteries? we got a tip this week about the expansion at fort logan today. it made us wonder if our growing city will ever run out of property for those who came
6:04 pm
>> reporter: staring out across fort logan national cemetery, the vision of fallen heroes seeming to on for miles. an estimated 4,000 buried here every year, you can understand why they're worried about space. >> we're down to about 1,000 cremation sites right now. so this is going to be done just in time. >> reporter: this is a huge expansion project that will add 9,000 cremation sites plots for casket barrels. they figure it'll be done as those additional notes will be needed by the middle of next year. it will help them last until the mid-2020s. >> it's kind of been in the works for several years. >> reporter: it made us wonder about all cemeteries. our city is growing, after all. and property is quickly getting
6:05 pm
there's no shortage. >> it still has space. >> reporter: less space is needed. >> you can have a column burium that will host several hundred to a thousand if you can. and you can always build as many as you need to because you can always go up. if you put every single cemetery together in the united states, you wouldn't even fill up the state of rhode island. >> heads up if you have a loved one buried in fort logan. some roosevelt leading to the site will be closed during -- some roads leading to the site will be closed during the expansion. >> if people have never been, they should go. it's beautiful. >> absolutely! >> thanks, steve. so mike coughman is either donald trump's best friend or he can't stand the guy, depending on which attack ad

morgan carol. and tonight brandon looked at an ad that's trying to tie coughman to trump. >> reporter: the overall accusation of these ads by morgan carol and her allies is coughman and donald trump are cut from the same cloth. coughman disputes that. let's look at the details. >> reporter: congressman coughman stands with donald trump and will support trump for president. >> reporter: whether that's true is ununknown. and that's that's on him. he's been asked again and again. his campaign tells us he's still undecided. earlier this year, his campaign manager said he would support the presidential nominee when trump lost in iowa. the ad pretends no know his ultimate answer. coughman himself hasn't given us one. >> trump would defund planned

6:08 pm
>> reporter: this one needs context. we may have gone with outdated for this as well except they used the past tense. that audio you heard from coughman was him. he said it. it's fair to play it. the difference is coughman said he misspoke and he apologized for saying this years ago. trump has not since he's since acknowledged the president was born in the united states. >> trump mocks those with disabilities. coughman says nothing. >> reporter: and? this is a faulty argument. more specifically, it's a fallacy called argument from silence. saying nothing does not mean that coughman agrees trump. bottom line, trump and coughman agree on some things and they've said some similar things. coughman has even left room for some attacks by not talking about trump. but their connection isn't as deep and far reaching as carol and the dccc would like you to believe. >> i like that. fall city argument.

your map and say, i want to try these which i've never had. >> reporter: what's your most unfair criticism of gbf that you've ever heard? i think fri night sessions were more of a party atmosphere. we've heard it called different things. i think that at one point maybe 8 to 10 years ago, that was a fair criticism. i don't think that's the case now. i think enthusiasts out there who really care about the beer and they really want to talk to the brewers andb want to talk new beers. the attendees are so much more into beer than they were probably 8, 10 years ago. >> reporter: what's it like being a female leader in an industry dominated by men? >> it's fantastic. all the years i've been in this industry, i've seen every year more and more women involved in
6:16 pm
how can we encourage more women to get involved? there are so many more women brewers now than when i started back in the day. there are so many more women putting on festivals. young women are getting into the industry, loving it, and seeing a real path for themselves. >> reporter: gbf has now spawned all these other events around town now. are those competitors or a pressure release valve for you guys? how do you see it? >> i think it's great. i love everything that comes into town and es i think it's great for the city and the state. and i think people love it! there's all sorts of options. >> reporter: for sure. thanks so much for your time. >> thank you, kyle. >> reporter: thanks for a great event that's fun every year. and that's safe! >> thank you, thank you so much. >> let me make a recommendation while talking about beer. recommendations are always to other work. the gbf fantasy draft is about

to flush them down the toilet. so they think they're doing the right thing by taking them up into these natural streams to let them be free. but the unfortunate part about this is it causes a significant problem for many of our native fish that we take great pains to grow those populations and to stalk these waterways with. >> reporter: colorado parks and wildlife is dealing with some goldfish dumpings down in southeast colorado. they'll lake george for your winter to deal with them ?q? still, dumping pet fish in colorado's waters, actually a
