pilot is indicating the crash was no accident. tom, good morning. what can you tell us? >> the plane had taken off from a flight school. it was on final approach when it went down. the pilot survived. the student pilot was the passenger. now federal law enforcement officers say they're looking at his background, including his nationality trying to determine if he intentionally crashed the plane. >> a quiet community in connecticut rattled this neighborhood late tuesday, possibly intentionally. the twin engine piper 3a34 was on final approach to the hartford airport when it crashed, knocking down power lines, leaving about 500 homes without party power. >> it's early in the investigation now. at this point, it's a plane crash. whether it's an accident or a criminal case, that's all to be determined. >> according to the "new york times," the pilot who survived the crash told investigators it was not an accident.

problems. >> i did everything a rape victim is supposed to do. i reported it. i allowed the rape kit to be taken. i gave a statement. >> this september, 19-year-old delaney robbins came forward alleging the university of north carolina refused to act after she was sexually assaulted. >> six months later the university has done nothing. >> six months of on-campus investigation run by school administrators she basic knowledge of sexual assault and showed bias in favor of her alleged attacker, a star player on the unc football team. fed up, she finally took action on her own and was able to secure a warrant for misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and assault. artis denies the charges. >> everything was completely consensual that happened that night. >> delaney's family says a case this serious should have been handled differently. >> what happened to my daughter

>> there's italian sausage, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, pumpkin, kale, mushrooms, onions, garlic. brown the sausage. this takes seven or eight minutes. then put it on a paper towel to drain. that just gets out some of the extra grease. and then into the same skillet, if you'll put my olive oil in there. >> so you're going to deglaze this. >> yes. and then someni mushrooms, garlic and a little crushed red pepper. >> and we have folks downstairs getting ready to chow down on this. >> getting ready. >> a little bit of water goes in. that's goes to deglaze the pan and just get up all those good brown bits. let's add that sausage back in the pan, so same skillet. >> paper towel go in there too? >> no, not the paper towel, matt. some canned pumpkin and then some heavy cream.

this really thick, velvety, delicious sauce. a little salt and pepper. >> how long does this need to cook down? >> not very long at all, just like a minute or two and then take it off the heat. and then let's make our cheesy filling. so ricotta cheese. i've got the kale that i steamed and chopped up and you really need to squeeze all the moisture out of it. parmesan cheese and then we've got fresh sage, garlic powder, salt, pepper and a little nutmeg. the nutmeg really helps bring out the flavor of >> sausage on the bottom? >> a little bit of sauce and i cooked the lasagna noodle for half the amount of time. >> because they're going to cook more in the oven. >> then they won't overcook. >> guys? >> it's really good. and you know what, it has that little bit of fall flavor but it's not overpowering. >> it's not too pumpkiny. >> how many layers? >> just until it fills up.

this is 9news. good morning. i'm tarhonda thomas with this 9news update. the colorado bureau of investigation is helping to look and identify a body. the denver post reports remains were found south of colorado 67 on friday. the coroner says the person, a man, had been dead for at least two years. he would have been in his mid- 20s and was about 5'6". investigators have not said how he died. a bomb squad spent the morning investigating a possible bomb threat in police tell us a man with a bag was making threatening comments about what could be in that bag near 16th and lawrence in denver. at about 4:30 this morning the bomb squad was called in as a precaution. we have been checking with police throughout the morning but still no word on whether that man is in custody or what was in that bag. time to check the forecast now with marty coniglio. it is moist and chilly -- misty and chilly out there. >> cool out there and even when the sun comes out in a little bit it's not going to warm up

continue. >> simon, the first episode starts off with you descending nine stories down into a crevice to rescue someone who was trapped down there. what is going through your mind? are you even processing what you're doing? are you nervous at that point? >> just the thing, the tripod that lowers you, there's no guarantee it's even going to hold you. >> i mean, this is climbing. we are never there is always a little bit of risk that we take for sure. what you see in the show is more dangerous, but we still manage and do a lot of managing the risk and like making it the most possible secure way. >> and you actually got to meet the man you rescued at the end of that episode and he didn't remember really anything that happened.
