verse donald trump in their third and final debate.

and personal -- and we're expecting much of the same tonight. 9news reporter andrew sorensen is following the debate for us. andrew -- a lot of controversies have come out since the two last squared off -- those controversies on both sides. that means both candidates will likely have a lot to talk about and explain to the american people. for hillary clinton-- newly released documents suggesting the state department tried to declassify an e-mail she sent. for donald trump-- more women have come out accus him of lude comments and sexual assault. both sides are also sparring over trump's claims the media is being unfair. "the press has created a rigged system and poisoned the minds of the voters." "i'd invite mr. trump to stop whining, and go try to make his case to get votes." the format tonight is the same as the first debate. a moderator will be asking the candidates questions. political experts tell us you can expect trump to come out swinging.

tonight. thanks andrew. cheryl, ahead of this debate the candidates are getting help from supporters. gary -- for hillary clinton -- former rival bernie sanders is campaigning in usually red states. and for trump -- his daughter ivanka is speaking out for the first time about comments he made about women. she is saying her father's comments were inappropriate and offensive -- but she's glad he apologized. ivanka spoke in an interview with the business magazine fast company -- saying the election has been a year and a half of enormous scrutiny. trump's wife melania has also spoken out about the comments calling it "boy talk" and claiming that the host, billy bush, egged her husband on. and team clinton is sending bernie sanders to arizona

first lady michelle obama will also be campaigning for clinton in arizona, tomorrow. the clinton campaign is also spending more money there on t-v aids and mailers. while the presidential election is at the top of many people's minds -- colorado voters will have much more on their ballots. you'll decide on nine different ballot questions this year. that includes "universal healthcare"... raising the minimum wage... and increasing the cigarette tax. voters will also consider measures on amending the constitution.... legalizing assisted suicide... creating es and open primaries to unaffiliated voters. 9news held a debate on these nine initiatives last night. each amendment had its supporters and opponents. one a big talker... minimum wage. you can watch the full debate on 9news-dot-com. 9news is hosting one more debate, tomorrow night. it's on colorado's sixth congressional district.

seven... tomorrow night. we'll also stream it live-- on 9news- dot-com. firefighters are hoping the wind will be calmer today. they were a little lighter yesterday -- and that helped with two fires are still burning in southern colorado. the junkins and freeman fire. but the junkins fire in custer county has caused far more destruction. it is now more than 16-thousand acres -- without any containment. the flames have destroyed five homes -- and 15 other buildings. investigators say high winds monday morning blew a metal outbuilding into power lines -- sparking the fire. at least eleven aircraft will join ground crews to fight the flames today. meanwhile, the freeman fire in eagle county is getting under control -- but questions still remain on how it started. right now -- the fire is 336 acres with 40-percent containment. crews do have helicopters helping with the

already going on near peterson air force base -- 150- thousand gallons more of toxic water is now in the sewer system in colorado springs. the contaminated water was dumped from peterson air force base. cancer causing p- f-c's are in the water -- which is already part of a massive cleanup in several towns near the base. officials told utiity workers about the spill within 24 hours -- but the public wasn't told until yesterday afternoon -- five days after it the water ended up in fountain creek. whether it's hiking the terrain or looking at wildlife -- seeing our state and national parks is a bucket list item everyone should check off.. and now one park is making sure that happens. staunton state park -- near conifer... is now the first in the state to have an all-terrain wheelchair. "that" makes it easier for people with disabilities to enjoy the park. the wheelchair uns on tank-like wheels. they can go off- road... and up inclines. the nonprofit,

forces are starting their third day of fighting isis. they're trying to "take back" the city of mosul. the sound of constant gunfire fills the air. coalition forces hope that recapturing the city will deliver a major blow to isis. american major general gary volesky says-- his

support and artillery -- but are not leading the charge. the iraqi troops are. but what happens in mosul could have international consequences. general volesky is concerned that in retaliation for losing mosul -- isis could launch terror attacks in the west. for now -- he says his troops are focused on the task at hand -- retaking iraq's city. it's been controlled by isis for the past two years. wikileaks says it's founder julian assange's internet access was cut off by ecuador's leaders -- from the country's embassy in london where he's in asylum. the internet was restricted after wikileaks published three transcripts of hillary clinton's paid goldman sachs speeches. assange has been at the ecuadorian embassy since 20-12 -- avoiding extradition over sex assault

ecuador says it cut off internet, because it does not want to interfere in any nation's sovereignty or electoral process. bill cosby is facing more accusations than just those of sexual assault. prosecutors in pennsylvania now accuse him and his lawyers of stretching the truth as they try to get his sexual- assault case thrown out. the dueling sides have filed legal briefs ahead of a pre-trial hearing on november first. cosby's lawyers say it's unfair to make him defend ev sexual encounter -- but prosecutors say he used his fame to conceal his crimes for years. that hearing will determine if the case moves forward -- and if more accusers testify. the 79-year-old is set to go on trial in june. an intense debate in north carolina -- republican governor pat mccrory verse his democratic opponent roy cooper. it's all about the 'bathroom law.' the two participated in a televised debate

competitive in the nation. cooper argued mccrory is to blame for damaging the state by signing "house bill two." part of that law mandates that people use a bathroom that corresponds with their biological gender. other parts-- opponents say-- disriminate against gay and transgender people. mccrory argued he'd compromise and pass a law that would stop employers from discriminating againt the l-g-b-t community...as long as opponents agree to back off h-b-2. president and first lady michelle obama held their last state dinner last night. the special guests were italy's prime minister and his wife. in his toast -- the president spoke about the friendship between the u-s and italy -- and the great number of americans whose ancestors came from italy. other guests
