controversial presidential elections will take place in more than two weeks. in the third and final debate between donald trump and hillary clinton, trump raised eyebrows by refusing to reveal whether he will accept election results if hillary clinton wins. clinton is leading in the polls. here's nbc news reorter tracie potts with the latest in the presidential race that is close to the finish line.

breaking down the debate, fact checking a number of statements from last night. iraq's military members believe it could take weeks or months to take back the country's second largest city from isis. this morning, special forces are now joining the battle. the iraqi general says counter terrorism forces helped a u-s led coalition unleash an overnight attack against a nearby town. this is the fourth day of the battle to re c control for about two years. the legacy school bus accident case is closing. and we may never know exactly what caused a deadly school bus crash at d-i-a. denver police released their final report on the legacy high school bus accident - and: video. those documents showed there were no mechanical problems. weather was not an issue. a coronor's report reveals drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the accident. the school bus

three coaches and 15 football team members were injured. denver police say they looked at all factors - and couldn't find any definitive answers to give the victims - and families. homless people forced out by the city of denver will fight for their rights in court today. the city conducted sweeps in the downtown area - confiscating personal items like tents, radios, and clothes. some of their drivers licenses were also taken. many of them being put in jail for days because they couldn't prove who they were. the homeless people sued the city, claiming their constitutional rights were violated. they believe they were forced from the downtown area to quote" clear the way for new housing and economic development." crews will be out to clear large boulders from a road in western colorado. and it could take a few days to clear it up. there was a rock slide on highway 133 near the east end of paonia reservoir

trooper pull up next to a hurt eagle. the bird was hit by a jeep on the busy highway. trooper julio velez walks over, picks up the eagle, and carries it to his cruiser. velez says the eagle was on its best behavior during the drive to animal control. amazingly, the bird has no broken bones and experts believe it will be able to fly again. it's a thanksgiving tradition since 19- 64. the annual event to feed the less fortunate. in our next half hour, we'll talk about someone who can use your help to carry out the good deed. that's going to do it for 9news at 4:30... but we have a lot more news and
