>> thank you much. it's not much but something. fire crews say the junkiness fire is 3% contained the fire has spread to 70,000 acres. it's destroyed five homes forcing hundreds near west cliff to evacuate. the fire started monday when high winds blew a metal outbuilding into a you timty pole knocking down a power line and sparking a fire. they're expecting to get more under conol the weather has not been helping. it's been really windy. >> we don't have moisture and don't have moisture predicted next few foreseeable days. weather can get active, but without wind, it's been fairly calm. we're starting to get firefighters dispersed around the whole incident. >> doesn't sound too calm in the microphone there. the freeman fire is burning in

colorado in eagle county. it's 348 acres, 50% contained. hasn't had growth overnight. crews have been dousing the area from helicopters to choppers on stand by to be used as needed. investigators don't know what started this fire near eagle. marty joins us now. cool temperatures have got to help. >> they do help. wind is calming down today. it calmed down yesterday. these are the wind gusts through the day today. maybe occasionally just slipping up above 10 to 15 miles per hour. that big improvement from what we had with the front yesterday. humidity levels dropping down to upper teens today. not the best situation for firefighters, however, temperatures will be on the mild side. still staying in the 40s and 50s in the fire areas.

toward the pueblo area. it was mentioned in that sound there. we have no rain anticipated for the next several days. the fact now through tuesday we do not have rain forecast. just a minimal amount in the southwest corner of the state. we're anticipating several days of dry weather going to go on through the early part of next week. . nine homeless people say police violated their constitutional rights when they told them to move from their camp and confiscated their belongings. now they're fighting the city because they say it was not fair. they're going to have a status hearing in denver at 10:00 michael hancock says the sweeps happened because of unsafe conditions in the ball park neighborhood.
