two weeks from election day. but people aren't waiting until november 8th to vote. polling places across colorado open, today. so-- we'll most likely see even more people turning in their ballots. 9news reporter tarhonda thomas is in the information center with details. tarhonda-- lots of voters have already made up their minds. yes, they have. it's no longer like the "old days"... when we had to wait until "election day"-- to vote.

daily.... as early voting opens across the country. in colorado-- many polling places open-- this morning-- at 8am. up until now, the denver elections division had been the only polling place open. now-- we're seeing them open in counties across the state. not all polling places are open right now, though. some are waiting until next week. here's what you can do at a polling place: you can vote "in- person"... ...you can register to vote... or update your registration. you can also get a replacement ballot... or drop off your mail-in ballot. now, if you have your ballot already-- and you just want to drop it off... you can also just go to a ballot drop-off site. there are more than two-dozen of them in denver, alone... all open 24-hours a day. those hours and locations-- though-- are going to vary... depending on which county you live in and where you want to cast your vote. so, how do you figure out where your polling place or ballot drop-off site is? there's a non- partisan website called "just vote colorado dot org." it's a good resource to help you find the closest polling

drop-off site. you can find the link, on 9news.com. cheryl? donald trump is in florida state this morning rallying supporters as the latest national poll shows democrat hillary clinton expanding her lead. the latest nbc news-washington post poll show clinton is ahead by 12 points. on meet the press sunday-- trump's campaign manager...acknowl edged he was behind...blaming the clinton campaign's onslaught of negative ads. more than four million votes have already been cast nationwide... in seven states....more democrats have cast ballots. in five others, including florida and north carolina ...more republicans have taken advantage of early voting. clinton is campaigning in new hamshire today- former denver

to advocate for her here in colorado. mayor webb will appear with former nba nuggets star chauncey billups. billups is expected to endorse clinton while denouncing trumps claims that his degrading comments about women were simply locker room banter. it was a violent weekend in the metro area so investigators are very busy starting the week off. this morning... denver police are working to find who shot and killed a man saturday night.. police say the man was- shot near 20th and washington street. he died sunday. as of this morning-- d-p-d has not released any information on a oo or released the victim's name. we'll keep an eye on this case. one of the most wanted men in larimer county - is finally in custody today-- and he's facing multiple charges after a tense standoff with a swat team. the sheriff's office - says travis sky wadena - barricaded himself in his mobile home at about 2:30 am sunday morning. the standoff ended when a k-9 found him hiding in a crawl space - beneath the trailer. he was wanted on 3 felony felony warrants - that

and possession of a controlled substance brock is back. the broncos are gearing up to take on the texans at mile high tonight. and for many fans this could be more than just a game--even if they're not 9news reporter andrew sorensen is live at mile high stadium with what's at stake. andrew? the broncos 2012 quarterback pick is making a homecoming of sorts... but neither team is playing that up going into tonight's monday night football game. brock osweiler led the broncos for six games last year while peyton manning was out with a foot injury. he won four of them. denver didn't nail down a deal with osweiler after the super bowl. he went off to the houston texans. but now he's back in denver... and he says he's not really paying attention to that story line. "i feel like if i let outside noise, and things that really aren't relevant to the game plan, and emotions that aren't relevant to the game creep in, really at the end of the day, all it's going to do is take me is take me out of my game. so that's why i'm trying to keep it as normal of a week as possible." you can catch that

growing right now-- after 13 people were killed when a bus crashed into a tractor trailer in los angeles. the truck on interstate 10 just after five sunday morning. 13 people were killed 31 others were hurt-- five of those people remain in critical condition today. as of late sunday night, the identities of those killed in the crash had not yet been released by the coroner's office. mourners gathered late last night to honor the dead and show support for the injured.

went and bought a candle and i came straight up here to show my respects." the cause is unknown right now-- but investigators supsect speed was a factor. we could learn more today. migrants upset over the planned demolition of their camp in france are protesting today. in violent clashes sunday-- they set fire to a block of portable toilets on the road leading to the ferry port. security forces fired tear gas while some migrants threw stones back at them. today 60 buses are set to move three-th centers scattered around france. by week's end, the camp is to be emptied and destroyed. twenty-six asian sailors held hostage for more than four years are free this morning. according to somali pirates, they were released after a ransom of one-point-five million dollars was paid. the ship's crew that the somali pirates kidnapped had people from vietnam, taiwan, cambodia, indonesia, china and the philippines. only one other group of hostages had been held
