the guys in the locker room the wrong way. >> reporter: i think when he said it, he meant individual success because of the way their system is. >> reporter: the offensive system. >> reporter: there's no doubt the broncos as a team are a better team than the texans. we've seen brock play well and make mistakes. in houston he's had eight interceptions. that could be the key to get to him and make him make mistakes so their offense can have more time on the field to get things they need that. >> reporter: the past couple games they haven't had the pass rush because of the quick passing game. i think houston will do that to help out brock in this game, also. >> reporter: we'll have much more coming up in sports and don't forget our pregame show at 5:30. ryan, back to you. >> reporter: good stuff, guys. talk to you later. kathy, i've been out here with these tailgaters all day. it is beautiful. i haven't seen a sweatshirt broken out until just now when

5:12 pm
under water. it can also calculate the depth of the water, things human eyes would not be able to do. >> the difference is scale. we collect 30 million square kilometers of imagery daily. so to have a human step in and try to identify the location where water exists takes days to weeks, but with a machine we can do it in minutes to seconds. >> reporter: time that can be precious when live hang in the balance. maya rodriguez, 9news. >> digital globe's images are them available to anyone who wants to see them. you can even help map differences in before and after pictures following a disaster. we have a link for more information how to do that on 9news.com. the price of gawk mole hill -- guacamole just went up. the shortage of avocados is pushing up prices double and sometimes triple depending where you live. experts say prices could stay that way through the super

from colorado's sports leader here's drew soicher. >> reporter: hi, everybody. it's turn brock the clock night at the stadium. former broncos quarterback brock osweiler is back in denver for the first time since he split for the houston texans back in april. osweiler spent most of four years on the broncos bench. so he had plenty of time to observe and knows exactly what he's getting himself into. challenge ahead of us going into mile high stadium, you know. those fans are loud. they support the home team. they're making noise all game. they're going to make it very difficult on us to communicate. i know how talented the defense is, you know. i'm not blind to that. they're the super bowl champions for a reason and i know the challenge ahead of us going into mile high, going against that great defense, you know, trying to move the ball
5:24 pm
9news broncos insider mike klis, let's play klis and tell. the fans are going to boo osweiler because i guess that's what you're supposed to do when a player chooses to leave your team, but he probably deserves a standing ovation, don't you think? >> reporter: he had a 5-2 record as a starter. he was a big reason why they got to the playoffs with the no. 1 seed and from the no. 1 seed home field advantage they were able to advance to the super bowl, two big wins against new en and against cincinnati late, both of those team going for the no. 1 seed. he played his two best games in those two clutch games. so yes, he problem deserves a little applause, but that's no fun. >> reporter: he also did the right thing when he was waiting, always said and did the right thing during those four agonizing years, i'm sure. >> reporter: he always did and he finally got his chance and i do think he was disappointed, frustrated, maybe even a little bitter when after he got his

to peyton manning. brock osweiler i'm sure believes the broncos would have won the super bowl had they stuck with him at quarterback last year. >> reporter: the broncos wanted to keep osweiler. they ended up with trevor siemian. hey, what's up? >> hi, rod. >> reporter: rod smith. >> reporter: they ended up with trevor siemian instead of osweiler. in retrospect it worked out pretty well. >> reporter: i think dollar for dollar you got to say trevor siemian was a better deal, $535,000 the salary for trevor siemian. 18million on average for brock osweiler. that's $17.5 million savings, perhaps they got von miller done because they didn't sign brock osweiler. >> reporter: good point. >> reporter: they got emmanuel sanders. they got cj anderson and brandon marshall also signed. so i think that head the budget considerably -- that head --
5:26 pm
>> reporter: three more names on the level 5 facade tonight. broncos unveiled the pillars, the 29th, 30th and 31st individuals honored with 8-foot bronze and steel pillars outside the stadium and this evening the celebration moves inside. >> i think it was the biggest individual honor, you know. obviously the super bowls were the biggest thing that you're going for, but individually this is the gg ever been given. so i'm very thankful, very thankful i got a chance to play 15 years in the nfl for what i consider the best franchise in professional sports. >> i honestly have seen these here before, but i always thought they were for just the guys who got their numbers retired. i didn't understand this was part of the whole ring of fame. so i learned that in the last couple weeks. it's really, really special. it really is and i've seen prior to games as a broadcaster
5:27 pm
coming and seeing this and now to know that i'm there, it's really cool. >> what i'm feeling right now is from the time that i sat on that stage my eyes were focused on my mother and some of the things that they said about me she may have heard them before, but to hear somebody say it in this forum, she was filled with joy and i spoke with it her earlier today and i said there will be no crying because if you do, i will join suit and it's just not football. there's no crying in this >> reporter: ring of fame inductee john lynch and john elway will join us on the pregame show in a few minutes on channel 20. see you then. we're live on monday night football. i'm drew soicher. >> thanks a lot, drew. see you guys in a bit. it will be a perfect night for football. >> would you like to see the forecast again?
5:28 pm
