watching florida. a new poll from bloomberg politics finds donald trump ahead there by two points -- but it looks like hillary clinton has an even bigger lead on him nationally. the latest associated press - g-fk poll shows she has a staggering 14 point lead among likely voters nationwide. trump's son, eric is hard at work on the campaign trail despite being behind. today he'll be in colorado. a u-s representative has about voting for trump. jason chaffetz had vowed not to vote for the republican nominee after that access hollywood recording with lewd comments about women. but chaffetz tweeted last night that he will vote for trump -- but he will not defend his actions or officially endorse him. as for trump's son eric has a couple of events in colorado springs today. he'll tour the mount carmel center of excellence, and then hold a veterans rountable. afterwards he has two rallies -- the

county trump headquarters at 2pm -- and then the second at colorado christian university at six. donald trump will be in ohio. clinton is also focusing on a battleground state -- north carolina. early voters are already heading to the polls there. first lady michelle obama is joining the democratic nominee. she has campaigned for clinton previously -- but it's the first time the first lady will rally with her. and a new report shows clinton is leading in more than just the polls -- also in the federal employees. and she's winning that race by a lot. the hill reports as of september, 95- percent of the two million dollars from federal employees to the campaigns went to clinton. that includes government agencies like the department of state, justice, and defense. as we've been reminding you all week -- the presidential race isn't the only thing you will be voting on. voters will also see other federal, state, local races -- and the nine state ballot measures in colorado. so here's tarhonda

breakdown. you've got nine state-wide ballot issues to consider, this election. now, this "ballot breakdown" is not to tell you which deserves a "yes" or "no." we just want to help you understand the question you're being asked on the ballot. so, we're breaking down a few. today-- it's proposition 107. "it" proposes establishing presidential primary elections in colorado. a "yes" vote-- would "get rid" of caucuses-- and replace them with primary elections for a party's presidential nominee. the delegates would be bound to the winner. unaffiliated voters could participate in the primaries.... with the state and counties covering the cost. a "no" vote means-- you want to keep the caucus system for presidential nominations. ...that includes a straw-pole-style vote-- like we've seen in the past. if you need help considering both sides-- look on page 43 of your ballot "blue book." you should have gotten one of these the mail. if not-- you can see it, online. we've posted a link-- at 9news.com

standing right next to us. many don't...most don't, in fact. one arapahoe county deputy says it's the evidence of how distracted drivers really are. he went out on the streets to try to stop them. 9news reporter andrew sorensen is live out in arapahoe county. andrew -- the deputy was hiding...in plain sight, i guess you could say. pull one a maneuver like this... where they hide their cell phone. cdot says distracted driving killed nearly 70 people last year... caused more than 15 thousand accidents. so the sheriff's office here is getting creative, too... hanging out at intersections where they see a lot of these accidents. if you were out here yesterday... you might have seen a panhandler. but if you were paying attention... the man's sign actually read: "i'm not homeless. i don't need money. acso deputy. looking for distracted and texting drivers." deputy pete tasei says he caught several people playing on their phones right in front of him. the sheriff's office here says they've also used fake construction workers to catch distracted drivers. and they have a few more ideas up their sleeves... so probably best to keep the phone away. it was a terrible accident. investigators say the man who died while working on a

the man who died while working on a pipeline near grand junction - didn't mean to loosen a board that caused three heavy pipes to roll onto him. the pipes started to roll and trapped juan tapia tequida. they weighted thousands of pounds. he was an employee of the contruction company contracted to install the pipeline. two tries later and convicted kill reali -- who killed her lover's wife in colorado springs back in 19-90 -- has been denied parole... again. she's serving a sentence through a program that targets inmates who are considered safe to the community-- and is living in her own apartment in the denver area. governor bill ritter commuted her life sentence in 20-11. the last time she asked for parole was last october -- she's been making the request because she has pancreatic cancer. the fall season,

earthquakes shook multiple cities wednesday. the quakes crumbled churches and buildings -- knocking out power. scary for people who live there but luckily not too much work for rescuers today. there have been no reports of anyone trapped in rubble -- and no serious injuries. just two months ago in the same region -- a powerful earthquake killed nearly 300 people. the united nations chief stephen bombing and starvation to push people in aleppo to surrender. o'brien called the situation in aleppo a quote 'apoc- alyptic horror.' a russian u-n ambassador didn't take that very well. vitaly churkin said the claim was outrageous -- also pointing out the bombings in the eastern part of the city have stopped for several days. the divided u-n council hasn't been able to agree on what to do to end

conflict. a judge will hear the final statements today in the bridgegate scandal -- the trial of two former associates of new jersey governor chris christie. bill baroni and bridget kelli are accused of closing lanes on the george washington bridge - during rush hour - for political purposes. both could face up to 20 years in prison. a pilot in south dakota won't be flying anytime soon -- now grounded tried to fly a plane drunk. rapid city police arrested skywest pilot russell duszak wednesday. he's now on administrative leave -- and has been removed from flying duties during the investigation. he's not the first pilot who police say tried to fly drunk lately. in august -- two veteran united pilots were arrested in scotland. and in march -- an american airlines pilot failed two breathalizer tests in detroit. he plead no contest. investigators have found some revealing details about marlin's

boating accident. they say his body, as well as his two friends, had a strong alcoholic beverage odor. a medical examiner told investigators about the smell. a judge has now approved a warrant to search the boat that crashed near miami's south beach back in september. the florida fish and wildlife conservation commission says they want the warrant to see if the group was boating under the influence. the three men wereat accident happened - they all died in the crash. a case that drew widespread media attention... has been settled. back in 20-13 -- a suspended for a pop tart that got the attention of people all over teh world. it's been settled. back in 20-13 -- a school district in maryand suspended seven-year-old josh welch for taking his pop- tart...then taking bites out of it until it was in the shape of a gun. the boy then pointed it at a student. he was suspended for two days but his parents fought
