6:00 pm
hillary clinton's secret e- mails. it's a deluge that poured into the hands of the f.b.i., prompting the same f.b.i. director who said hillary was careless, not criminal, to announce the new investigation. drip, drip, drip. some of the best political minds will battle it out to change yours in a moment. can i change my vote if i voted earlier? kyle saunders says, not this year. maybe someday. >> as of right now, we don't have the legal framework. we don't have the technology. we don't have any sort of way for people to change their ballot once it's cast. >> reporter: could you honestly envision a situation where american voters would be able to go back and change their minds after a voting? that's so radical to think
6:01 pm
>> it is. and, you know, we -- you'd have to bring technology on it. and obviously a legal framework and the way we think about elections and how that all works. and even then, it would be -- it would require a -- a generational change. right? in how people think about elections. it's not some common thread where you go in and rate something. oh, i really like this article. and then change your mind. oh article and you click the up arrow instead of down arrow and you keep changing your mind. >> if you're still holding on to your mail in ballot, i have two people that would like to speak to you briefly. thank you guys for coming in. here's the deal. i'll ask you both a question. if you answer my question, you can spin after that. deal? all right, kelly first. so these e-mails, we don't know anything about these e-mails. you don't know if they're
6:02 pm
somebody close to her. f.b.i. hasn't suggested there's anything incrime hating in there. why are -- incriminating in there? why are republicans making a big deal out of it? >> reporter: the fact that comey is coming back 11 days before an election where she is polling high and is likely to win by most pollsters means he wouldn't be doing this if there wasn't something serious. [ laughter ] >> so there's my answer. >> you have ten seconds to spit! >> essentially. >> you took too much time answering my question! >> aw! in terms of spin, you know, she said -- i never sent out anything classified at the time i sent it out. 110 e-mails, 52 different threads were done. she lied to the american people. we know she lied. >> reporter: speaks to the greater issue. so all these points why so many
6:03 pm
years of stories about her and people breaking the law are bending it. >> first of all, if you spent 50 years in the public life and had people dumpster diving in your backyard and hired private investigators to tear about your character, you'd be defensive, too. and a lot of the distrust or creation of distrust of hillary clinton that's out there is media created. i this i all of this -- >> oh, you won't blame us for this one! no, no, no, no! behind. think about it. if you're in this spot and -- >> all right. >> -- and you have another investigation, that investigation unveils something that may have content that could be relevant to something you just concluded? >> he did have a legal obligation to come forward. that's right. thank you very much. we stopped by denver's election division today to make sure they're not rigging the election. they're not. neither are the other counties in the country. there is a team in denver
6:04 pm
if there's a problem, confusion, they try to put what the voter intended. so, kyle, if voting ballots are secret, how does the media know who voted? maybe this election is rigged. this is clearly our fault because we have not explained this well enough. we'll try it again. we do not know who people voted for. the early ballot returns just tell us how many people that's it. no liberal media conspiracy. no divulging of rigging votes. this is a standard policy going on for a decade in colorado. this is our unbiased, nonaspiratory lease them returns. over 17,000 coloradans have voted. 38.5 are democrats.
6:05 pm
25% are unaffiliated. >> how do i say this? colorado isn't so special anymore. especially not when it comes to getting high legally. five states are considering recreational pot. they have questions. they're looking to colorado for answers. >> marijuana symposium? dude, those are two words i never thought would come together. but think of it like this. like an faq looking at legalizing pot. here's our question, what have you learned over the last few years? >> pesticide use and application is typicallying the for the federal government and our state, but here in denver, we were having pesticide residue remaining on product sold to the consumers -- >> reporter: ashley kilroy is in charge of marijuana policy in denver. there are have been many lessons from pesticides to home
6:06 pm
>> a lot of people really do see these shows about the colorado green rush and colorado pot barrons. and i think there's -- barons. and i think there's a misrepresentation on the money it brings in. >> i can't tell you how many times we hear, where is that pot money going? maybe that should be other states. they should think more about tax revenue before they do something like this. >> if other states approve legal marijuana, expect denver to take on a nationally prominent role as an innovator. amendment 71 would make it harder to amend the state constitution. the ad claims we have the easiest constitution to amend. that can be true or not depending on how you look at it.
6:07 pm
thought of something we didn't. >> one thing our truth test didn't look at was time. the amount of time you have to go out and get signatures to put an amendment up for a vote in a different state. by that measure, colorado's deferentially not the easiest to amend because three states, according to national conference of state legislatures, have an unlimited time window. arkansas, ohio, and utah, you can spend as much tomb as you need. in colorado, you have a -- as much time as you need. months. in oklahoma, only a 90-day period for gathering signatures. this is only one way at looking at this debate on who has the easiest constitution to amend. >> that unlimited time in utah is for statutes. you can only amend the constitution through the legislature and a convention. and now joining the conversation.

6:12 pm
east come to my organization, my synagogue, church, group, about islam. i invite people in denver to come to the mosque. take a tour of the mosque. we would be more than happy to do that. we welcome those things because a mosque is essentially supposed to be a community center. it's not just for muslims to be there to pray in. >> she thinks coloradans have avoided the cultural tensions we see elsew reasons. one, our relatively small muslim community and our economic prosperity. pink bowtie, pink suspenders! i need your help! real men wear pink ends on monday. let's raise money for breast cancer. i've had some fun this month. this is of scott dishong. he's competing in this, too, kicking my butt.
