and keep an eye on what may happen moving forward. there's people in the league office, that prefer a system. not where the player is evaluated for a con cushion and probably brought back to the game. but yanked from the game, based on the suspicion of a possible concussion. people like john madden, former giants and jaguars coach, tom coughlin, are advocating a situation where the player is removed and not return when there's doubt of a concussion. this maybe pushes that argument forward. sometimes it takes some time. one more. cam newton vocal after the carolina game they won. saying he doesn't believe he's protected out there. what are you hearing about this topic? >> the league's position will be that he's no more or less protected than anyone else. the league says there are 11 quarterbacks that had more missed roughing the passer calls than cam newton, who has only had three missed roughing the

everything checks out great for the defensive coordinator and he's back home. phillips took a hard hit by san diego chargers running back gordon. he was trying for a tackle as the broncos were rushing for an interception in the second quarter. he was carted off the field and taken to the hospital. >> never know what happened. wade got hit on a turn over and was down. that's a big blow for our team. >> we everybody. when that happened i knew he wanted to be out there the most important thing is going out there and getting this win for him. >> phillip was awake and talking. even waved his hand to let people know he was okay. phillips took a hit last year. in that game he was okay. hopefully wade was able to watch the second half from his hospital bed.
