1945. one of them will go nuts tomorrow night. it's been 108 years for the cubs. 68 for the indians. somebody's walking away a winner. drew will be in with his thoughts in just a bit. a home in castle rock is condemned tonight after explosive devices and chemicals were found inside yesterday. police cleared out the plum creek neighborhood last night, and detonated some of the those nearby materials. neighbors have been return home. 9news reporter, dan grossman is live. how are they feeling about things tonight, dan? >> reporter: kim, they're much better than they were yesterday, but still understandably shaken up. there are still chemicals in the home. for that reason, the homeowners will not be allowed to return until firefighters deem it safe. there were 20 containers found in this home.

was in one of these containers, but said on their own, these chemicals were purchased legally. so close together that static shock, or even just a little bit of heat would have been enough to detonate them and cause an explosion. all of these explosives were removed today, and the remaining chemicals are safe enough in this house, that some of these residents were allowed back in their homes today. they still have many questions that were unanswered. that the officers were able to find these chemicals, because if they hand been so observant to see those chemicals, somebody may have died. >> i understand why they can't answer some of them, you know, because it's still under investigation. >> reporter: one of the major questions that still remains is whether or not the parents of this teen had any knowledge or

right now, police say that answer is unclear. as for the teens, they remain in police custody. they have not been charged yet. prosecutors will make a decision on that come thursday. it appears another for profit college has shut down a campus in colorado. the flyer on the door of heritage college says it is permanently closed down today. it says heritage doesn't have enough cash to we reached out to heritage, didn't hear back. the colorado department of education hasn't heard anything formally from heritage. but they have heard from a number of sources that heritage closed all ten of its campuses today. once the state gets confirmation, it will start looking for compensation for students. it follows the closing of

november sneaks in with more sunshine. this month is starting out as dry as we started october. for the 19th time, we made it through october in denver without snow. the next big date to mark on your calendar, november 21. that was the latest first snow on record in denver, and that happened in 1934. in recent years, seeing the first snow in november hadn't been that unusual. it's happened four times in the last decade, and in each of the last two years. the mountains are having a days. keystone had to push back friday's opening to november 11. loveland says temperatures finally dropped down far enough last night to fire up the snow guns. good news. there is a little snow falling at the eisenhower tunnel tonight. tomorrow in court, a fight for your right to take a selfie with your completed ballot. currently illegal in colorado. a law that dates to 1891. it remains a misdemeanor for a voter to show his or her ballot

what convicted burglars had to say about which homes they chose to target. tonight, those same burglars told us what any did once they get inside a home. 86 responded about their methods, most said they wanted to be in and out in less than 10 minutes. many said the motive was jewelry, cash, and credit cards. >> you always want to hit the bedrooms first, because there's going to be safes in the in the bedrooms. guns and stuff like that are usually in the closets. >> when asked where else they looked, one burglar said everywhere, from the stove, to the fish tank. another said he looked for n ra bumper stickers on cars, because he knew guns were inside. he was a 23-year-old young professional, no history of depression or mental illness,

his death was related to use of high potency thc. there's not a lot known about this more potent form of the drug. >> reporter: our investigation has found no one has ever study the physical, and emotional affects of using highly pure thc products. the family is asking why not? >> i'm finding the more look, the more goals i've achieved. >> reporter: in december, 2015, mark bullard was on top of the world. he had graduated near the top of his college class and landed a great job in denver. he made this video diary, documenting his success. >> it's been a goodyear. >> reporter: and mark was looking board to 2016. >> it's time to start planning projects to start planting seeds. >> reporter: just four months later, in april of this year, mark bullard took his own life.

hi everybody, the chicago cubs and cleveland indians have waited a combined 176 win a world series, so what's another 24 hours. the cubs beat the indians tonight to force a 7th and deciding game in the fall classic. allowing two runs to score. the cubs win 9-3, and even the series at 3. nashville predators arrived in colorado fresh off a bout with food poisoning that ravaged their locker room. it was the avalanche that
