thank you for joining us. gary, corey and cheryl with you. marty is joining us. a little bit of rain overnight. >> tiny little bit. it is still snowing in a phonons areas, which is wonderful news. as we anticipated 10,000 feet and up. it is a little dark up there still. if you look carefully you can see the snow falling hitting our lens at the loveland ski over 11: over 11,000 feet it is snowing. last night's rain has moved into nebraska. it is scooting away. we are close to three inches of snow at the loveland ski area. around here we have live on denver good looking conditions here. a few clouds here and there.

through the day today with highs near 60 degrees. it is going to be a little bit cooler around here today. really wonderful to see that mountain snow. >> it really is. that's where we'll start off on the traffic cams. camera pulled up across vail pass. you can see a semitruck off to the shoulder as they prepare for the drive. it is a little slick. you can see the snow sticking in the median as well as the shoulder of our drive. just learned silverthorne this morning. out to our denver drive a different picture. lots of green. it is nice and quiet. we have a crash across southbound speer south of colfax. minor delays northbound. two lanes are closed at stout for on going repairs. downtown tech center is a 15 minute ride. speeds in the lower 60s. >> thank you very much.

is campaigning in colorado today. >> reporter: it is the same message we heard from donald trump and his supporters as they have been in this state fighting for the battleground colorado. i want to give you look space where cheer see clinton will be at 8:00 a.m. this is the campaign headquarters in boulder. it is a small space. you can see there are barricades lined up. cones are blocking off parking spaces. they are expecting a good number of people because they lined up the barricades in anticipation of a line of people waiting to get in door. if you are planning to come out here know you have to have a reservation. there is no more space for

event. let's talk about what chelsea clinton is expected to address. she is going to encourage people to turn in the mail-in ballots. colorado for the first time in a presidential election is using an all nail -- mail-in ballot system. she is going to talk about economics and policy and her mom's ideas of making the economy work for everyone. that's a theme we have heard from hillary clinton when she made campaign stops in point home. most importantly encouraging people to vote. we are getting down to the require here. only a week left until election day. so many people turned in their ballots early. millions of people have gotten the ballots in. that's why clinton, trump and support ers are -- supporters are crisscrossing the country to get in the early mail-in ballots. chelsea clinton coming out here

in colorado. we have definitely seen a stream of people from both sides of the candidates coming in to try to win over this battleground state. >> yep. just a few days left. thank you very much. as for the presidential candidates themselves hillary clinton is going to be in nevada and arizona today. donald trump will campaign in florida. tuesday in wisconsin the republican nominee new year's day an a-- made an appeal to those who voted for hillary clinton. donald trump informed the ch the fbi's review of clinton's e- mails. citing what he called buyer's remorse. wisconsin is a state where you can change your vote up to three times. >> wisconsin is one of several states where you can change your early ballot if you think you have made a mistake. a lot of stuff has come out since you voted. >> meanwhile hillary clinton was campaigning in florida where there was more than just

explosive chemicals found in the plum creek neighborhood on monday. the house where police found these chemicals is now condemned. 9news reporter andrew sorenson is live in castle rock. police met with the community last night. >> reporter: police held a news conference and community meeting to talk with residents about everything that's gone on police arrested to teens monday morning at 2:00 a.m. notifying a boy's parents they found explosive chemicals in the home. castle rock police chief is trying to reassure people this had nothing to do with threats of two high schools here. they's a big concern they heard from community members. the teenager had an interest in chemistry. neighbors say that was the first thing they thought of

stabilizing because more buildings have gone up, which means more options for renters. >> it is typical for rents to go down as people move out. you get a concession to move people in to keep people in units. in the spring they move up again. that's historically what happens. >> for now rental prices in the metro area are expected to stay a mixed bag. we won't know if there trend until april or may.

no snow in denver. the mountains are having a tough time getting snow these days. keystone pushed back friday's opening a week to november 11th. last year they were able to open on the 6th. loveland says temperatures dropped down far enough last night to fire up the snow guns. a little snow fell the eisenhower tunnel. it was actually the 19th time we made it through october in denver without any snow. the next big date to mark on your calendar is n ovember 21st. that was the latest first snow on record in the denver area. it happened in 1934. in recent years seeing the first snow in denver in november hasn't been all that unusual. it happened four times in the last decade in each of the last two years.

showers in the foothills. you'll get a mixture of wet snow and light rain in the foothills this morning and early afternoon. it is coming down slow. it will progressively get drier the further east you go. most of the metro area really sees nothing at all. we'll get clouds this morning. as skies clear this afternoon, look for 60s. 40s and 50s in the mountains and foothills. we are pushing up close to three inches of snow at winter park and loveland. that's really nice to the snow will decrease late in the day. when you melt it down you could get moisture in the mountain areas. 40s in the mountains today. skies clearing as the day goes on. we clear out, too, with highs in the low 60s here. not much wind around the area we clear out tonight and then we start warming back up into the upper 60s tomorrow. a couple of days in the 70s before some clouds temper things a bit early next week.

the clocks back one hour saturday night into sunday. >> sound like a plan. here at 5:52 we'll go back up to the high country cams. we have an accident along i-70 near silverthorne. it looks to be in the westbound direction. when the camera was more zoomed out you could see the snow that's continuing to come down at a good pace there. we have seen flashing lights and everybody moves along. to give you perspective how long your i-70 drive could take you as you make your way ou big band coming through there. 32-mile across. trekking along i-70 further than that. areas of loveland could be slick, as well. traction laws are in place across our silverthorne drive. downtown denver totally dry. southbound speer coming towards 13th there is a minor crash. backups extend to colfax. >> sounds good. thank you very much. it is no shave november.
