it was wow, that's the craziest thing we'll see all day unless the broncos win the game on an extra point return. >> that is exactly what it translates into. >> it should have been a homer, right? >> if you hit it through the roof, i would say so. >> through the roof.

wonderful weather this weekend. hope you went outdoors and enjoyed it. outside right now clear skies with a big bright full moon. 70 degrees tomorrow. record high temperatures are possn wednesday. a chance for rain possibly mixing with snow on thursday. if the storm stays on track we're on the edge on the fringe with that, but that is really it for the next nine days. no big impressive storms out there. this one will bring accumulating snow to the high country, which is wonderful news. a lot of people is when they book the holiday skiing, the vacations. >> yes, it's time. >> the resorts are getting a little nervous. >> yeah. it is good new there is. >> thanks. bare with us now, drew has spotted something and the
10:34 pm
game. it's not the stepping out of bounds thing. drew will explain the thesis and those other guys will tell him whether he is right or wrong.
10:35 pm
10:36 pm
10:37 pm
intercepted, jordan taylor's first career touchdown reception. it will be intercepted again. broncos jump over the ball and they block the extra point. that is will parks into the end zone with a two-point conversion. >> hi everybody and welcome to broncos tonight. drew soicher, rod a miraculous victory over the new orleans saints. and will parks returned it, the broncos find the most unusual way to improve their record to 7-3. >> this is a play that will be talked about forever. everyone wondering if trevor siemian could lead the broncos to a victory. we will never know, we don't
10:38 pm
>> and that was a crazy game. even though there was fortunate there at the end that i thought they deserved that break the way they played. i didn't think that they had any chance in winning this game today, but they came out inspired. their defense acted like they were chewed out for not stopping the run the last couple of weeks. they concentrated on that. and i thought siemian showed some guts. he just hung in there and i'll tell you what, i think that he delivered himself as a leader with that offense and the courage that he played with. >> all the idiots myself, there is no way they could repeat this offense as they keep doing it, the same thing again. at some point that i was not just wrong, i'm an idiot. i feel that.
10:39 pm
these games a year. >> it is remarkable as park says he took ballerina lessons in the 5th or 6th grade. but he must not have been very good because i think that he stepped out of bounds tiptoeing down the sideline guys. >> prove it. >> okay. okay, so it is the only game in the history where there isn't that reverse angle, right? where is that angle from the other side of the field? there is 12 from this side. but none from the othe have here from new orleans. a low-level camera. oh you missed it from behind. i thought it was obvious at one point that he stepped out. his foot was angled that way, white on white. >> in my opinion he stepped out, but the camerawork wasn't conclusive enough for them to overturn the call. >> they called him out they would have stuck with that too. >> there it is, there it is. >> yeah. >> he was out. i feel very confidentable in
10:40 pm
coaches reacted instantly. they pointed to him and said he was out. that would have been a shame though, i mean you make a terrific athletic skilled play. and then the guy runs out of bounds? what is he doing running that close? >> he had a momentum. he was going and you see him quickly coming back and he comes back in here, you see, that is the white on white shoe that you cannot tell where it is. >> that is out of bounds and where they are at. but it is okay though. you know, to reverse the game. broncos will still win though as we >> matt holliday has still never touched home plate, so it is okay. >> he never got tagged either. >> that's right. >> so we have talked a ton about that crazy game-winning play. now let's talk to the players who did it. justin simmons and will parks are in the spotlight. >> caught, saints touchdown. and now a very important extra point. >> really it was just adrenaline at the end of the game with a chance to put your
10:41 pm
>> they block the extra point and it is picked up. denver is running down the field. >> i mean it was a play we practiced all week for a special situation like that. obviously it was either win or lose. >> parks into the end zone with a two-point conversion. >> oh man, i was moving so fast. i mean they had to take it down to the wire. i'm not worried about none of that. >> they will need to make certain that will parks stayed inbounds and he was tantalizinglos close, but i see a black jersey coming and that he must have been trying to save the day, but that wasn't going to happen. >> never been involved in a crazier finish. >> is water wet? no. i have never been caught in something like that. >> reporter: one rookie blocks it, another scoops it up. >> justin is a tall guy, man. he was able to get there. and will, i'm glad he had those white shoes on. because i think that's what
10:42 pm
i wore white shoes for a reason. i was going down. and justin simmons got the block. 34 capitalized. 31 and 34 all day. >> this just in the broncos might have cheated. watch jared crick number 93. he is playing left guard, leans over and puts both hands on the helmet of saints justin drescher. that's illegal, right? >> we talked to joe decamillis about that. as long as you don't pull him down that is legal. >> well what did he do? he put 300 pounds on him. that's a crick in your neck. >> yeah. >> but he didn't yank him. so i think that is a legal play. now it's obviously well coordinated. it's the trick of the trade type of play. >> it doesn't look legal.
10:43 pm
argument because he didn't pull him down, just prevented him from going up. >> that is decamillis the special teams coordinator who said that. i thought the guy was untouchable. >> you are not allowed to forcefully hit him while in the process of snapping. but once it is completed he is now a blocker. once he comes up or attempts to block, then you can do stuff with him. i think that cheated is a little overstating it. >> might have. >> pushing the pulls, taking advantages. mistake by keeping his head down and ducking his head on that. he has to keep that head up. he could have prevented that play from happening. >> nfl has got to create a rule soon making it illegal anyway, right? this is ridiculous. athletes are so great that every guy could do it. >> no, they don't. not everybody has a guy who could do this. then if you land on any of the offensive players that will make it a penalty. so the risk verses the reward is higher towards the risk side of this.
10:44 pm
it creates interest. >> it is cool, but you cannot tell me that there isn't a guy on each team that could do that? >> well, the kicker has no chance. [ laughter ] >> they will figure this out from the perspective on how to get that snapper to rise up. then be forcing the penalty on the defense. >> yes. >> a man among men joins us next. we'll be right back. coming up, i want you to count how many times stewart says man in our interview with

10:48 pm
yeah, it had to be seen to be believed. we saw it, we still don't believe it. the thing is simmons play wouldn't have mattered if it wasn't for stewart the safety that kept denver in this thing with three turnovers. the first bronco to achieve that happened since delta o'neil did it 15 years ago. >> every time that ball was on the ground or in the air you were getting it. >> i was right there with it, man, just getting to the ball. >> loads it up, home run ball
10:49 pm
will be intercepted by darian stewart. >> the other ones will be made too, two great plays. you know, he was making plays all over the field falling into the safeties hands today. >> reporter: how much of that is momentum? you mention that first play and then you say i'm ball hogging getting ready to make it. >> yes, the next play, the second series. >> he rolls line. >> when you got that last one and it deflects and goes right to you again, i'm sure your running party is going i can't believe this is happening. >> i know, man, you're not going to touch me. i saw brees, man. i should have scored with it. i'm going to be sick when i watch the film. >> what a game by darian stewart.
10:50 pm
able to shut down drew brees, but you guys shut down drew brees. >> they played a tough game. all the other boys, they played the ball. but we came out, we had a mission and we were just trying to get it done there for this bye week. >> was this game not just because you were going into a bye week, but you couldn't let this slip away? >> no, not at all, man. we feel all these games are must-wins for we're going. >> darian said man 19 times, 19 times. but we get the point. he can say whatever he wants after playing like that. everybody is talking about the last play of the game. the broncos won because they created four turnovers today. >> well, man. [ laughter ]
10:51 pm
because drew brees got over a little cold streak in the first quarter. he started getting hot. you've got to give the broncos defense credit. they tied it up when they need to, only allowing one score in the 4th quarter, but let's not break our arms patting the broncos defense on the back. they played a great defensive game. they gave the team the best chance to win today. >> and most people thought that it would be the play that could have won the game for them, but the denver defense comes up big but make no mistake this team needs to lead. this team needs wolf. >> yes, this bye week is a perfect time to get those two guys back. >> and that's what i thought was impressive. that i didn't think they had any chance against brees. i mean that offense was rolling. those three receivers, they were really putting up big numbers with brees and their runningbacks. i think what happened the broncos defense kind of what's hurt them over the past week. the broncos would get ahead. when you get ahead that you'll
10:52 pm
saints would abandon their running game even though that they would get a lot of time left and they are in a score or two and they all seem to want to hurry up and catch up and to go to the air. but the saints didn't run the ball as far as carries go like they had in previous weeks. that would help the broncos d. >> fill in the blank boys. the broncos should be blank and that they would hit their bye week with a 7-3 record. >> very pleased. they should be, i mean really excited i think. and that the cincinnati win earlier this year at cincinnati, that it was a big win. they've got a first year quarterback, who has never played before. they've got a rookie runningback and they are 7-3. plus the whole thing about whether they will have the motivation after coming off the super bowl, i think they're in great shape right now. >> they should be really happy considering the number of the offensive line and the depth here with the streak of injuries on defense that they
10:53 pm
>> i would say baffled. it is suppose to be hard to win a game in this league and they have won seven of them without hitting their real rhythm yet. thanks for staying up late. 9news at 10:00 continues right after a photo finish. good night.

millions of americans will tr staying entertained during the long flights or the long car trips that could be a real challenge. >> nbc mark baggerrer has some ideas. >> reporter: for many travelers mobile entertainment is key to enduring a long trip that could mean headphones to drown out their noisy environments. >> what people will tend to do is turn the volume off of whatever they are listening to and that could cause their hearing damage. >> reporter: noise-canceling headphones block out the ambient sound for adults.

with 30 hours of listening times. >> noise-canceling headphones will cap that level at 85. >> you can keep your device from dying with a portable battery pack. >> something between 2,000 amp hours will give you one charge for a lot of smart phones. >> reporter: nomad makes a wallet with a built-in charger and some come in fun shape for kids. in-flight wi-fi could keep you connected, but it is limited. >> it is fine for things like checking facebook or sending some e-mails, but you're not going to be able to our large pictures. you won't be able to stream for sure videos. >> reporter: they could also save you money as well as downloading entertainment devices to your home. luggage could be another painful part of travel. >> you could invest in a bluetooth suitcase to find out where your luggage is at any time. >> they have them charging the weight and location tracking built in so you and your bag
