today. >> reporter: yes, and littleton police admit this is unpleasant to have to come here to tower landfill looking for anything connecting them to the case. at this point, she's still considered missing. she has been since july. so police came here starting yesterday. it wasn't just littleton police. they were joined by several agencies including arapahoe county, jefferson county, volunteer search groups connected to this case. like you heard the police official mention this could be charlene's remains. that's a possibility as they search this landfill. she disappeared in july. this was considered suspicious after her car was found in an abandoned lot. there's a person that has been named in this case but not as a person of interest. it's charlene's boyfriend jeffrey byer.

separate. those charges were dropped. in pursuing those charge, they would have had to hand over evidence related to this case. they have 23409 named persons of interest in this case or saying what led them to this landfill. they are talking about the process which they will be using to search. >> as far as this search is concerned, it's a matter of digging through an ice area -- isolated area here to look for items related to the case. the search will consider until we find what we're looking for or determine the search has gone to the point where what we hope to find is not here. >> how long will that take? a few weeks to up to five months.

. welcome back in sports. denver fans watch the broncos chiefs game in prime time 27th of november. the game was originally scheduled to start 2:25 that sunday but because of income's -- of nbc flex rule, they switched it around. watch it right here on channel 9 and nbc at 6:30. this is the broncos fifth prime time game denver is still beaming after beating the saints sunday. now defensive tackle is too. after reviewing the tape, the nfl says his tackle on justin from the saints was legal. his head down was during the game allowing his teammate to block the kick during the game. he knew all along it was a legal play. >> i don't -- i don't see why not. like i said, wasn't like we yanked him down or had his face

. with no rain or snow in the denver area, it's the 12th longest streak of its kind since the 1940s. it's one of the latest runs into november without measurable snow. streaks like this are usually broken and historically they are this week on the calendar. with no snow predicted today, we're moved into a tie for fourth latest snowfall in denver history. if wednesday is more of the

we pick up wind dramatically this evening over the plains. in the front range mountains and foothills, 60s western valleys, 50 and 60s in the mountains. 70s around here today getting close to our record high of 78. it stays windy through the day in mountain foothill areas and western suburbs. that wind will keep us warm tonight. mid-40s for lows. mid 70s tomorrow. record high tomorrow 77. we'll be on the thursday, 43 in the morning. that's the high. it drops into the 30s with a couple inches of snow in the afternoon. mostly sticking to grass. pavement so warm it should melt on contact. windy cold day friday before we climb up out of it this weekend. >> close to our 6:00 mark now, speeds starting to indicate that a bit. more cars on the roads here. i-25 and county line checking clear. no major accidents.

. it's 6:00 a.m. here's your tuesday morning top stories. a commerce city landfill could hold answers to what happened to charlene voit in july. a jury convictedhe of a 61-year-old man. investigators say derrick web and two other men went to grady's home last year, shot him and took his wallet and truck. a man that served 28 years for a crime he did not commit is free again. a jury found clarence moses not guilty of rape. he was freed in december after a jury overturned his case.
