thank you for joining us. we are following breaking news in utah. a high school student stabbed

locker room before stabbing himself earlier this morning. one student reported seeing a teen with a head wound. another with neck wound. police say a 16-year-old boy, the suspect was taken into custody. all five teens and the suspect were taken to the hospital. some injuries are critical but at this time we are hearing they are not considered life threatening. again five people stabbed at a high school in utah earlier this morning. it happened in the boy's continue to learn them. for the third time this year people living in homeless camps are being cleared out of downtown denver be if they do not leave on their own. the move is all about public safety. vincente arenas is live in downtown. some of those people filed a lawsuit against all of these sweeps. safe to say people being moved are unhappy. >> reporter: they are not happy. let me show you what is going

you can see there is some workers that are cleaning up the sidewalk on the broadway side of the catholic charities building. there are a number of people that have been here all morning long. it came to a standstill while there was a woman that refused to leave the sidewalk but they are still in the beginning stages of this sweep. look at this picture. you can see a lot of shopping carts and people that have not removed their belongings. this started earlier this morning when the city of they would enforce a camping ban. a number of police officers showed up. a number of workers from the public works department showed up with trash cans and they have been cleaning up some of the sidewalks so far. and we have talk to several people who say they are is up set over what is happening. >> this is an atrocity. we are humans. we are not dirt.

sweep us to where? >> reporter: so to where? and that is what so many people have been telling us this morning. a number of these people who are here right now, they say they have been moved from here before. they came back, they have nowhere else to go and they are seeking public housing. but other people we talked to who use these sidewalks are upset that every time they pass through here they have to walk around through so many things that are in their way along the sidewalk. we are not sure how it will pl like. workers have just started cleaning up. we'll have updates on 9 news at 4:00 and 5:00. >> we never know how those things will work out and it's easy to see it on both sides. thanks va seniti for looking into that. let's take a live look. these next few days could be the last real taste of summer.

record highs today. it is so nice out there now but you are seriously talking snow by the end of the week. >> it will be a sharp change and shock to the system. and lots of people are happy about the possibility of even snow in the forecast. now first let's talk about the forecast today. on this tuesday a high of 77 if degrees. the record high today is 78 degrees. we're going to come very close to that. we'll have a mix of sun and clouds and sun and the winds have been active since the this is reason why your temperatures are so warm. the winds in the city could be from 10-25 miles per hour. now the current temperatures around town are already in the 70s. and winds right now close to the foothills are gusting up to about 30-40 miles per hour. now currently we do have high fire danger. we have a red flag warning in effect for southern wyoming and anticipate for those winds to get even stronger storm when a

she went missing in july of this year and police found her car abandoned in a lot and they considered that suspicious. the only person whose name has been loosely connected to this case has been her boyfriend jeffrey buyer. he has not been named a suspect if in this case. as a matter of fact, he was arrested in a separate investigation in a sex assault but those charges were dropped after prosecutors revealed they wa them to turn over evidence in this disappearance case. again he is not named a suspect or person of interest. as for this landfill, police shorts with several different agencies say they could face

with a catch. we have high fire danger across colorado. as of now take a look at this beautiful picture we have outside. blue skies over the city. no rain or snow in the forecast. at least for the next 24 hours. but those winds will be fierce. as of now, our temperatures for this november are coming in, in the top spot as the warmest november in history. our temperatures for today will keep us in that spot. the high today of 77 degrees. that is what we are forecasting. the reco set in 1942. we are about 25 degrees above that normal high. out here in the backyard our temperatures i'm not complaining. we're at 71. let's check the forecast for the rest of the state. starting off with current temperatures because any effect of those down sloping winds they are much stronger in the foothills. that is why our temperatures

25 corridor. cooler in sterling. check out these winds. we have a red flag warning in effect for southern wyoming. and in the foothills temperatures are gusting 20-30 miles per hour. for the rest of the afternoon your temperatures will continue to rise a bit more than into this evening they will still remain mild in the over night hours because of those strong westerly winds in the foothills. our future cast staying dry across the state. but into tomorrow we will have the increase of also those winds will be more active than today. tonight 45 will be the over night low. this is pretty mild. our wind from 10-20 miles per hour. now for tomorrow a red flag warning also in effect for southern wyoming and a fire weather watch will be in effect for south eastern colorado with a gust out there could get up to 35 miles per hour. everybody wants to know how about the snow. remember, the weather has been very dry.

it was too close to call for a week but now we know the results of denver's marijuana vote. we know they have been counting this ordnance 300 passed 53-46 with a little more than 17,000 votes. it creates a four year pilot program where businesses in the city can apply for a permit to let customers use marijuana. there are some requirements including approval from the neighborhood. there will be no smoking allowed inside establishments. users will be able to smoke marijuana on outdoor patios. denver city council has 60 days to write up the rules how

french president says the paris deal to fight climate change is irreversible and the united states must respect the decision by the obama administration to join the deal. france will hold a respectful dialogue with president-elect donald trump on climate change but also demands u.s. involvement on behalf of more than 100 countries that have ratified the deal. trump has called a hoax and pledged to cancel landmark paris climate agreement. well, today is recycling day. if you haven't started just yet, today is a good day to do that especially because it's america recycles day. today you are asked to take a pledge to learn more about recycling in your community. now here in denver we may be one of the healthiest cities but we could use some improvement when it comes to recycling. a new report done by eco cycle

republicans have reno house speaker when next years gop led congress starts working on president elect donald trump's agenda. house republicans picked the wisconsin republican at a closed door meeting today. a major new development in the case made famous by the popular netflix documentary making a murder. a judge overturned brendan's murder conviction in august. now that same judge has ordered his release from prison.

they now hope he will be home by thanksgiving if not sooner. >> reporter: nearly a decade after he was sentenced to life behind bars, he could soon be a free man. his holiday season the food will taste all the sweeter because we know the first time if ten years brendan will be celebrating freedom with his family. the case was featured in making a murder a ten part netflix documentary that raised questions about those convictions.

such a revelation for brendan's case. for the first time in ten years he is finally getting his story listened. cast city's attorney says the conviction was coerced. on monday that same judge ordered his release saying the state failed to demonstrate that dassey represents a community. >> usually when an old conviction is overturned, that is because there is real evidence or the real killer is found. here everything that we know today we knew in the original case. >> reporter: wisconsin's attorney general is appealing dassey's conviction and filing an emergency motion to keep him in prison. authorities have also questioned the documentary saying it doesn't share all the facts. >> a lot of the things were taken out of chronological
