still icy in spots. the sun is playing a huge role. >> i'm in a sweater and feels warm. >> if you lived in denver enough, if it's sunny, it feels different out here. that's going to melt seeing that over town and fort collins csu campus. it's 28 degrees there a lot of melting in the backyard. temperatures downtown denver 31, dia 29, 24 netherland. hasting over the city too. a bit of a temperature inversion is in place. that storm system is well past us. moving over the midwest. most of us here dry across colorado.

investors take a pause following huge moves since last week's presidential election. here's a live look at the new york stock exchange. health care and technology companies are taking the biggest losses. you see a big drop in the dow jones industrial. we'll keep our eyes on that. results of an ongoing study shows that people living within 10 miles of the plant may have experience including cancer. they may all have been linked to radiation exposure from 1952-1992. metro state university launched the online study in may. it drew 1700 responses over 17 months. there will be two public meetings to talk about the results of this study. first is stanley lake library at noon. second will be at superior town hall tonight at 6:00.

though it's chilly. today will be one of the colder days before we get to the weekend. we return to mild temperatures. take a live look outside where we've got haze sitting over downtown denver. that's thanks to temperature inversion going on. temperatures warmer in foothill locations than what we have in denver. take ever hill for example, 38 degrees. downtown denver, 31. 37 greeley, we've got a few 30s and 20s stretching through sunny skies. our current temperature 27. a little chilly. put on a jacket. you'll be fine. sunshine makes a huge difference. current wind gusts also, strong on the eastern plains. 30 miles per hour gusts through burlington. that's the back edge of the storm system adding out to the midwest. it's producing quite a bit of heavy snow in minnesota and now

minnesota, 6.2 other locations, 11.5 other places. isolated areas getting quite a lot of snow up to the north. the front side of this system is the cold front. may produce severe weather across the midwest. marginal risk for severe weather stretching indiana through illinois, southeast missouri and arkansas. large hail and damaging wind the biggest threats in those parts of the country today. our forecast is very different. going to see a lot of sunshine through the the afternoon. clear tonight and cold. tomorrow with sunshine, warming temperaturesle right back up to close to 50 degrees. highs today just 40 in the city. 42 greeley. 42 fort collins. eastern plains in the 30s and 40s. we'll reach 30s and 40s in mountain areas. here in town, 40, chilly and breezy. we're going to have sunny skies out there. that's going to make a huge difference. winds out of the west 5 to

this project here, just a couple simple tools. you'll need a crescent wrench, channel locks and can he have long tape. showers are the same the way they hook up. you take the handle off. unscrew this set this off out of your way. this is if you just had a regular shower head. this is where your shower head would be. you have the handle for it. unscrew right here. so this is your keflon tape. put it on clockwise. hold your finger on it. loop it around clockwise. just need to go around once,

break loose. then you take your new shower head and just thread it on. be careful not to get it too tight. it's better to have it little loose and tighten back up than have too tight and break the plastic. once you have that piece on, if you're going to a handled shower head, hand held o the hose, always make sure your washer is on the inside. there's a rubber washer that goes in there. always make sure they're in there. i need to screw this on. screw your hand held onto the end of the hose. you're ready to go. next step would be to test your
