welcome back, everyone. it is sunday morning. belen de leon, what are we seeing today? >> highs will be in the low 60s, warmer than where we were yesterday. more clouds in the sky today. it makes for a pretty sunrise. thank you for sending in your pictures. look at this one from a viewer on twitter. beautiful colors in the sky. we lost some of that color now and we are left with the clouds. in southwestern colorado we have currently light snow falling in that part of the state. during the day if you are spending time in the mountain, expect spotty showers, but

gunnison. 52 in denver, in part because we have stronger winds blowing close to the foothills. with temperatures are in the 20s in northern colorado and northeast colorado right now. fast forward to this afternoon, 50s for fort collins and greeley, denver 61. in the mountains temperatures in the 50s and 60s. as we take you throughout the day the temperatures by midday will be in the mid to upper 50s. and then we will top out in the low 60s this afternoon. i no he we will have lots of clouds -- i know we will have but this evening into early this evening we will have a break from the clouds. this evening the clouds increase into tomorrow morning. let me show you. here is a look at future-cast. 11:00 we still have clouds around town. spotty showers in the mountains. there is break happening around 8:30. tonight we have the clouds increasing through tomorrow morning. but in the high country is really where we have the big business going on. rain and snow becomes scattered tomorrow.

rest of monday and tuesday. so, that is when we are expecting the conditions on the roads to be pretty tough, especially in our central and southern mountains where there will be winter storm warnings, winter storm watches and winter weather advisories in affect through tuesday afternoon. we could see accumulations of up to a foot in some parts of the high country. here in the front range the chances for rain will increase tomorrow afternoon. then it turns colder on tuesday. tuesday morn could see rain mixed in be snow. 35 will be the overnight low tonight. skies turn mostly cloudy. temperatures across the state will look like this. and then tomorrow it is not going to be as warm as what it was today. 55 will be the high. clouds increase, a chance for rain in the afternoon and evening. tuesday in the morning a chance for rain and possibly some snow. so, that could be a tough go in the morning drive on tuesday. 43 will be the high. then on wednesday it clears

good morning, 62-36. well, washington state isn't that caliber but yesterday's game was the first in full between two ranked teams in 14 years. the bucs need a win to keep their pac-12 championship hopes alive. taking it in here from in close. the game is tied up at 14 up. the bucs go one into the break down 17-14. down but far from out. they started the second half the way they started the first.

7:30 on your sunday morning. good morning and thank you for starting your day with us. i am sure many of you want to know what it will be like outdoors for us. let's get right to belen de leon with more. >> yesterday in the mid 40s. today we will see 60s, so it will be warmer. we will have more clouds in the sky, as well. the high today will be around

high country, those winds will be gusty at times. you especially want to keep this in mind if you are maybe headed on a chair lift on top of the mountain because, yes, it will be gusty once you get to the top. the temperatures are in the 50s in some spots, 30s in the downtown area. we have 52 out at dia. temperatures in northern colorado are in the 20s. then close to the foothills temperatures are in the 40s. as we take you through the rest of your morning, your temperatures will gradually warm from the downtown area to then the 50s by 10:00 and 11:00. but why are some spots seeing warmer temperatures compared to others? we have stronger winds blowing in the foothills that will help impact our temperature this is afternoon, as well. highs will be in the low 60s along i-25. cooler in northern colorado where you won't have the affect of the winds. 50s up there. close to the front range mountains temperatures in the 50s and 40s. here is a look at the winds. close to gennessee up to 29 miles per hour.

sir. a controversial confederate monument in front of the university of louisville is being taken down. work started yesterday to deconstruct this 121-year-old memorial as the center of an argument among faculty and students that say it condones slavery. a judge denied a lawsuit from a group of residents that proposed the removal. it was given to the city in 1895 in honor of the kentuckians that died in war. sophia gonzalez is a-week- old and is alive and safe hundreds of miles away at a home in dallas. the baby's 27-year-old mother was killed on thursday in the her home in wichita. two adults are now in custody after the kidnapping. it is tatime of year. you will see home surveillance video of thieves taking packages from the front porch. hopefully we will see the result of police participanting decoy packages with trackers in

welcome back, everybody. belen, i took a drive to the nederland yesterday. i know, not a big drive but it was a nice day. i wanted to see what it was like. a nice snow up there right now. >> yes. it is. and folks will be even more happy up in the high country. before i get to the forecast let me step out of the frame for a minute. i want to show off pies i had a school trip, i took a trip up to greeley to talk about the jackson saints. we talked about the role of the sun, the seasons, the instruments used to measure the weather and my job at a millionaire. we had very smart 2nd graders out there. a big thank you to -- job at a meteorologist. we had a very smart group of 2nd graders out there.

out there. how could it be 52 degrees right now? well, the winds are gustier, helping to warm our temperatures. it is in affect called downslope and that is what we are feeling. but across the state right now in northern colorado we have 20s. the same for our friends in the eastern plains. in the high country a few temperatures in the teens. the mountain valley, gunnison is 19 degrees right now. this afternoon in the high country generally we will have 50s and 60s. temperatures will be in the 50s for northern colorado and turn a little warmer from the metro area to the south where the temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s. right now we have clouds around town and out in the eastern plains. we have snow pushing in with the southwest flow on the western slope and also in southwestern colorado. some scattered snow showers are possible as we go throughout the day in the mountains. here in the metro area we will hang on the clouds. it will be a mainly dry day for

near the divide for the northern mountains. any accumulation will be on the light side. around 4:30 we get close to sunset here in the city. we will have clouds around town. this evening watch what happens. rain and snow will be increasing in the high country as this new storm makings its way to colorado. in the metro area our clouds will increase through monday morning. 35 will be the overnight low tonight. skies will be mostly cloudy. with the rain and snow increasing, tomorrow be more difficult to drive in the high country, especially in the mountain passes where visibility will be lower, roads will be icy and snow packed and the winds will be stronger. some parts of the mountains could see up to a foot of snow accumulated. for us tomorrow it will be cooler, a high of 55 degrees and mostly cloudy. in the afternoon, near the afternoon commute is when we have a chance for showers. now, through tuesday a chance for some morning rain missioned in with snow, the high --

the sunday addition of the prep rally. a lot of play-off games and one championship game. that is where we begin. the high plains in the first of seven title games. the first half, cheyenne wells took the lead as quarterback, and skips past one defender and blew by the rest for 6 to go up 22-15. high planes clutch. and steps ck and launches it to land, the senior for the myrrh ram louse catch, 38 -- miraculous catch, 36-22. the final score 36-24.

semis, 33-26. now the quarter final shootout between the third seeded palisades bulldogs and the 11'ed seeded mead mavericks. this is riley glen to derrick edwards. looks like they will win but they score the next 3 touchdowns, 40-38. palisades, 4 minutes to go. mead reclaims the lead on ensuing drive. glen throws the green his first and only catch of the day. the junior turns on the jets and runs away with it. the mavericks hold on 44-40 for the first ever home play-off victory. they will face pueblo east next week in mead. defending champion windsor faced number 1. they commit.

together in about an hour. it just took a team effort, but i think it is so beautiful. what is more impressive is that this entire table, table cloth, everything, silverware, plates, everything added up to about $50. this table isn't just for thanksgiving but you can keep it on your table and use it through the rest of the holiday season. >> i will admit, thrift stores instead of going in with a vision, i try to keep an open mind and be inspired by the items you find. here are the tips we came up with while putting this table together. >> our table runner is actually a curtain. if you fold it correctly, it can pull the look together. and we found plates with blues and browns that went well with the overall theme. that part took time.

silverware, wrap it up fast. another secret, christmas ornaments. you can buy them in bulk and they really help fill out the table. we even used christmas tree pinecones as place card holders and used becky's good handwriting to fill out the names. but what really brought this table together was a centerpiece. we didn't look for stuff meant for the table. we searched for items that call the living room home. coat was $50 for a thanksgiving table for four. >> as you can see it didn't take that long and we don't need that entire glass of wine. we can set it down.
