witness. police are looking for the shooter. in st. louis, a police sergeant was shot twice in the face. looks like he's going to survive. the suspect died in the shootout with police. hundreds of protestors were met with tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons in the overnight hours. demonstrators were trying to cross a bridge when police stopped them. a school in stay holton and spray painted on the playground and sidewalk, people came out to clean up the school sunday posting messages of hope and love on the building. passage of 300 was short lived. there's new rules. university of colorado football team is on the top ten list of the associated press for first time in 14 years after

riot this erupted overnight >> see from the overnight video how tense things were. see fire, smoke, hundreds of protestors. this is ongoing as police try to block them from crossing a bridge. certainly chaotic last night. it's one of the biggest lashes we have seen between police and protestors so far. police say 400 protestors lit cars on fire. bridge to highway 1806 northbound. that's been closed about a month after officials evicted protestors from property owned by the pipeline developer. police and demonstrators are blaming each other for escalation overnight the demonstrators say they seem to be growing in intensity. >> i'm a little afraid. i just saw the man almost run over the disabled elder with the

in our own report, mia rodriguez was out there couple weeks ago and saw someone with a gun driving by the round of protestors. definitely stepping up in intensity. this morning, pictures come in on twitter. some injuries that protestors got during the protest last night. one person posted a picture of their hand swollen up from a rubber bullet. several had to go to the hospital for injuries gary. >> thank you the river is now durango's only source of water the lemon dam on the florida river needs maintenance cutting off the water source. it was impacted by the mine spill in august 2014. the utility director says there's no health risk and it's okay to use the water. he says the city will pull 3 million gallons from the river

csu played final home game in hughes stadium saturday and sent the old stadium off in style. rams beat new mexico 49-31. players, fans, alumni held a ceremony on the field. one by one, lights were turned off. they said good-bye to their home for more than 49 years. >> it was a pretty amazing scene at the end offer the lights. i got to go up top and shoot the cannon. just to sit up there and watch. the people just celebrated and enjoyed the moment. >> that cannon, we remember that. their final win and their final game at hughes helped qualify the rams for a bowl game. they won six games now. they move to brand new stadium next year on the campus.

western colorado. the slopes doing a great job of catching that snow. a lot of places reporting rain in the west. we have high clouds here over eastern colorado. we will get breaks in the overcast during the day today. despite that, still able to touch close to 60 degrees this afternoon. tomorrow morning, very light rain or very little accumulation. going to be barely on that rain snow line which means a lot of melting on contact. could have wet roads tomorrow morning. by afternoon, it clears out. then wind on wednesday and thursday will keep us dry. we'll get more mountain snow. this first storm is going to be fairly impressive. i'll detail snow amounts in a few minutes.
