to happen earlier this month. however, it was delayed. last time he appeared in court. today is the day we're expecting to hear from the judge as well as others involved in this case during this sentencing. let's talk about this case and really how impactful it was to this community and others surrounding it. the accident happened in may of 2015. christopher then accused, now convicted of killing 5:00 debt tyler tifo. this happened because from a traffic stop and hit the other officer as well as trooper rushing investigating a separate accident unrelated to what happened after that. again, sentence today. convicted in september, now carrying a mandatory life sentence. this happens as we've seen a terrible year for state troopers who have been hit and killed in car crash. trooper cody donohue is the most

shoulder of i-25 near castle rock. a big rig hit him, killed him instantly when it crossed the solid white line. that driver is facing misdemeanor traffic charges. for the past year, so many have been mourning the trooper killed in november of 2015 when she stopped her patrol vehicle on i-25, the shoulder of castle rock, to protect a previous crash. then she was hit by a drunk driver that person has pleaded in this case.

out. it's prompting emergency evacuation orders today. north dakota's governor signed the order monday asking people to leave immediately and ahead of a snowstorm that's expected to start today then last most of the week. the governor's office said it did not coordinate the evacuation order with army corpse of engineers. over -- army corp. of engineers.

to kill his own son wrecking his car on purpose will face a judge today. the 29-year-old was driving 75 miles per hour when he hit several cars in august. when officers caught up to him, he admitted to taking cocaine and trying to kill his son because he didn't think he was, quote, man enough to raise a child. the 2-year-old was put in a half body crash with injuries to his head, neck, it's 5:40 now. officers hope to generate tips in the stabbing death of a 77-year-old man, lewis easter easterday. he was found last week in his home with multiple stab wounds. he was taken to denver health where have he was pronounced dead. his family found out three days later. authorities did not know who he was. >> i feel horrible.

. welcome back. jury selection in south carolina in the case against dylan roof who admitted to killing nine black church goers the judge stopped the process earlier this month after lawyers questioned his competency. he's found completely competent in state court where prosecutors plan a second death trial on nine counts of murder.
