" the majority of us, well we all live and work in the area, so we call it nascar nights because this will go on, as you can hear, for hours. i think during the day, well they dont discriminate on the time, but i think at night its the most intense because youre trying to sleep." they've tried calling the police, but the process it would take to file a noise complaint to the city is not something haleys looking to get inovolved in... still she feels this disruption has gone on long enough, it even happened during our interview... " residents tell us this has been going on for over a year, the drivers usually pick an empty lot they even station look outs when they perform their reckless driving, their drag racing, and it usually happens for around 30 minutes at a time..."

" i know it sounds crazy but i would think somebody would want to come out here and stop it. i mean it would take just 1 officer to come out here and stop it." police say that might be easier said than done, while these types of events are loud, they are also well planned out... and most cars would drive off long before police got to the scene... " its one of those things where our officers either have to be there, or have to be there in a short time frame to take these perpetrators to get them stopped and get them cited." neighbors say the driving use to take place in surrounding lots before they contacted the oweners, those lots are now gated which keeps the racers out...
