police say 49- year-old erik provencal was driving a pickup truck when he tried to turn left in front of the motorcyclist. degrella tried to stop before slamming into the truck's passenger side. he was killed at the scene. the driver of the pickup was not hurt. police say he failed a field sobriety test... and was arrested on a felony d-u-i count. a police officer shot and injured in the line of duty has been with the metro police department for eighteen years. police say officer gregory sedminik and another officer responded to a domestic disturbance call on thursday at emerald suites. that's near las vegas boulevard and pebble. police say officer sedminik was shot by a man not connected to the initial call. the officer returned fire but was hit in the upper body. he was taken to u-m-c... and expected to make a full recovery. the suspect is identified as 38- year-old teag fox. police say he was picked up by a friend who had no idea fox was the suspect in the officer-involved shooting. it took around six

highlights. that's what the utes and cougars were playing for today -- the las vegas bowl trophy. in the first quarter -- utes have the ball following a tanner mangum fumble... ...and joe williams eventually breaks the plane from one yard out. they reviewed it. call stands. utes lead 7-0. still in the first -- the utes already scored on a pick- six from tevin carter. and it's carter again! he picks it off -- runs it down to the one. and sets up this. williams again -- finds the endzone from short distance. the utes grab a 21-0 lead. still in the first -- mangum drops back. he's looking for someone on the right side, when dominique hatfield picks this one off. and hatfield goes 46 yards the other way for the score. that put the utes up 28-0. and they would finish the first quarter up 35-0. but b-y-u would respond. just before the
