"back in 1931 when nevada legalized commercial gaming lotteries were illegal in the entire united states." fast forward to the 60's when states began legalizing the lottery - it was too late for us. our casinos and gaming industry had

henderson police investigating their first homicide of the year. they got a 9-11 call this morning about a domestic disturbance. when officers arrived at the scene they found a man dead inside a home. fox5's les krifaton is outside the home near patrick and stephanie... les what are the police saying? police have been not said much other than they were called to a domestic dispute

drive and when they entered the home they found a man dead from a gunshot wound with two other people inside waiting for them to arrive. we are still in the process of trying to determine what happened. henderson police public information officer michelle french outside the home where police were called monday morning. the initial call came in at 11:35 and we're still trying to determine what happened. we have two people being interviewed at this time. what their relationship is to the dead man police would not say. the scene remains active through the afternoon but there wasn't much activity inside or outside the home for a reason. we are waiting for a search warrant to be executed and at this point still doing our investigation. maggie carrillo who lives a few doors down and across the street from the crime scene came home in the early afternoon - but says she didn't know the people living there. i've never really seen anyone coming

since i've been here.i don't know maybe we are just on diferent schedules or what. as for whether she is shocked about someone losing their life a few doors down from here home this is what she had to say. this is las vegas and everything happens here. unfortunately its not really news to the residents of las vegas. it is shockng that it happened right on my street. it looks like the search warrant has been executed because there are more police in the area right now. the two people who were inside the home when the shooting occured were taken to henderson police headquarters for questioning.

local news at 5:30. let's get you up to date with the latest local headlines. henderson police make an arrest in the first homicide of the year. it's what appears to be a domestic dispute and it occured in a quiet neighboorhood near patrick lane and stephanie. fox5's les krifaton is at the scene with details of who police have arrested. henderson police have arrested the victims 22 year old son.....daron clanton. around 11:35 this morning. artived at the scene and found a man dead inside the home along his wife & son police really hadn't said much about what went down here earlier in the day other than they responded to a domestic disturbamce call. apparently there was a family dispute that went bad. after finding the body police took the two people inside to their
