10 and 11. burt has been relieved of duty without pay pending judicial and internal investigations. in a seperate incident .. a different and former metro officer has been indicted on federal charges of using excessive force during an arrest - and obstruction of justice for filing a false report. richard scavone is accused of arresting a woman on prostitution charges in january of last year. an investigator says the woman was seen on police body cam video being thrown to the ground, grabbed by the neck and slammed by her head on the hood of a patrol car. metro says the officer was terminated from his job in september. a motorcyclist is dead - after a crash in henderson. henderson police say the motorcycle was going east on lake mead parkway - when it hit the rear of an s-u-v turning from the westbound lane - onto industrial park road. the biker - who was wearing a helmet - was rushed to sunrise hospital - where they died. police say the motorcyclist may have been speeding .. and the

a controversial education law .. is on hold for now. the school choice program passed last year through the nevada legislature. it gives parents five-thousand dollars to use for their child's education. opponents say it would take money from public schools... because parents would choose to send their kids to private school. but that's not the only legal battle it faces. fox 5s cyndi lundberg joins us now live in the news room with more... the school choice program... otherwise known as the 'education savings account' is currently involved in two seprate lawsuits... one in clark county... and one in carson city. a judge ruled yesterday in favor of the lawsuit in carson city... he said he agreed that the school choice program could hurt public schools... i talked to a parent however who says the schooling in nevada is just so bad.... they have no choice but to go torite school...and they say the judges decision... hurts students looking for a better education. samantha linares - it puts us in a

parent i have to make sacrifices spends nearly 20- thousand dollars a year sending her school. samantha linares - i dont get to drive fancy cars or have fancy vacations i use all the school choice program passed last year would've given family's up to five- thousand dollars per student for education costs. were almost forced into the private school system if we want our children to have the best educational experience that they can have that is what we were hoping for was a little break two lawsuits have been filed against the program. one suit in clarkecounty claims school choice is unconstitutional because it could use state money for religious purposes.... amy rose- legal director aclu nevada - because the voucher program uses public money and allows the money to go towards religious institution its a violation of the constitution the other lawsuit filed in carson city maintains it's illegal to take money from the public education system... it's

county school district alone would be out more than 17-million dollars.... a judge sided monday in favor of the lawsuit. schnieder- another concern is it will take money from the public schools yes but i if we have students leave those classrooms and they take that money then the public schools will still have money..... but theyll also have fewer students so theres more money to be spent on fewer students lineras says the hurt local lineras- i make a lot of sacrifices like our parents do and its not just a free ride they arent looking for free looking for money looking for the bes education they can get and the nevada public school offer that right but the americal civil liberties union maintains her children aren't the one who need protecting if this law passes. amy rose- many of these private schools they dont

here's a new view of the ringed planet in our solar system. nasa released this image of saturn-- taken by its cassini spacecraft last year. it took the picture from more than one and half million miles away. the little white dot to the lower right of the planet is one of saturn's moons. the skies over florida will be very active this year. the air force say this will be a busy year for rocket launches on florida's space coast. space-x has planned about 20- unmanned rocket launches for missions that include making deliveries to the international space station. and united launch alliance has 12 launches
