burt has a 48 hour hearing scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30. if you or someone you know may be in an abusive relationship you're urged to contact safe nest for help right away. a former metro officer was indicted on charges of violating a woman's civil rights while trying to arrest her. the justice department says "richard thomas scavone" used excessive force during the arrest, then falsified a report about it. this happened on january 6th, 2015, and metro says the incident was captured on body camera. scavone is accused of grabbing the victim around her neck and throwing her to the ground. he faces up to 30 years in prison, if convicted on both the civil rights count and obstruction count. former clark county tom collins pleaded "no contest" to a d-u-i charge. he says he's moving on from the december incident, when he was arrested after a crash. its history you cant change history. im going forward, just like i did when the bulls got out. i still won election by landslide over

an s-u-v. this happened on lake mead parkway and industrial. henderson police say the s-u-v was trying to turn left, when the motorcycle crashed into it from behind. the biker was thrown to the ground, and later died at sunrise hospital. police say it's too early to tell if drugs or alcohol were involved... but they do say the biker was speeding and the driver failed to yield. nevada's school choice program... which would give parents thousands of dollars to put their children in private schools... comes to a halt. a judge ruled in favor of a lawsuit against the program. the lawsuit claimed it was illegal to take money from the public education system. four thousand families were about to receive funding in just a few weeks. one told us this decision will hurt local students. get to find her boulder city is trying to charge frazier with 37 felony animal cruelty counts. the district attorney is now investigating the case. performers at fremont street experience have had nearly two months to get used to the new rules, regarding when and where they can entertain crowds. today, some of those performers spoke out on the rules at city hall. "i'd like to see it repealed and first amendment enforced. we can self regulate if we have meetings with the city. the federal aviation administration is inspecting six plane engines... four months after a british airways jet burst into flames at mccarran international airport. investigators want to look at the specific part of the engine that was torn apart. the pilot quickly stopped the takeoff, and everyone was able to escape the plane. no one was seriously injured. the engine inspections will be done this week. and reality star khloe kardashian made a surprise las vegas visit, when her plane had to make an
