approved 215- million dollars in tax breaks for faraday future. many had to the day off in honor of martin luther king. some went to the parade downtown, some took up the call to action to help others in our community and some just took advantage of the day to chill. fox5's les krifaton was up at the lee canyon resort where today plenty of people were enjoying the chill by skiing and snowboarding. there were plenty of people who took advantage of the day to get out onto the slopes and have a little family or me time in the snow. the traffic getting up there didn't seem to discourage many people we've already had more snow than all of last season and that alone was enough to drive people by what looks like the thousands up to mount charleston on this holiday.
6:05 pm
through the traffic and it was busy throughout the day as you can see from this video it was time to have fun. beautiful day beautiful weather crowded but a lot of fun. for the ski resort operator these are the best of times because its been a while since all of their trails have been open.. there have been some trails that have finally opened this season with the snow that we've got that haven't been open in a couple 2 or 3 seasons. and our die hard snow lovers can't seem to get enough. i like it. from skiing to boarding to even tubing was running at almost maximum capacity and that alone along with the great ski conditions charged up everybody. how many runs you've done today. three -four. connor bracken was more than ready to spend the day away from the classroom and on the ski hill but his preferance is to board. it's way easier. el nino have been very good to the ski resort so far and we still have a few more months ahead and more snow forecast we'll be really excited if that happens . snow just makes everyone happy so we'd l;ove to see more snowfall. just down from the ski resort at the lee meadows people were enjoying sledding and that mess of broken sleds and plastic items
